they had/have multiple business all across Greater Manchester under multiple names so its hard to keep track on them, its also why I'm personally always so wary to send my digital stuff anywhere unless i know someone who had a good experience at a particular place
These types of shops are renowned for stuff like this, always stay away from shops like this.

my brother had a repair shop fix his phone and they refused to give it back but when you have a big Irish family like mine we just went there with some cousins and uncle's, its amazing how quick someone changes there mind when you return with family...
big families always helps, come from one myself, my great grand dad, got 21 children, 17 with the first wife and another 4 with his 2nd wife

I've just had my phone ruined by a phone repair shop called Phone Labs. Reporting them to trading standards. Maps does not work, volume doesn't work, signal does not work. And they charged me £100 for a fake screen replacement. Arghhh. Scumbags

Please tell me where these shops are that will pop in a new HDMI on an xbox One s for under £50? I've just been quoted £80 for a new port, which is under £15 on eBay. I was told that you can run it through a sky box with the import HDMI port and not the out one (which is the one broken). Sometimes you can buy a second hand console for that price.

The issue I have with a lot of these stings is when Rogue Traders say it's an easy fix and for example should cost around £50. No it won't ! Most see an easy pay ticket and charge what they want. No way would these experts on the program charge these silly little amounts.......... IMHO of course.
It's like them saying it's just the top layer of glass, they're forgetting separating a digitiser from a actual led/oled panel is extremely difficult and sometimes impossible without damaging the panel, so a lot of places just opt for replacing both in one go, no doubt the rest of the crap this business does is extremely unethical and probably against various laws etc, but the repair of the phone wasn't a good "sting"

@@AnotherDud3 I was about to comment the same. I've done many iPhone screen repairs, battery repairs and replacement Taptic engines and charging ports over the years... I wouldn't attempt a top screen digitiser only repair, so difficult and time consuming and for most of the iPhones the replacement screens are no more than £20-£40.

7:57 - its not correct to say that only the top layer of glass needs to be replaced - the LCD and glass are bonded together..often with the frame of the phone. You cannot just repair the glass cheaply.. It does often require a new LCD assembly and frame. For what they charged - doing it with a cheap chinese lcd is actually common and not a rip off. Its not the best obvs but it isnt dishonest

When the 'expert' opened the motorola and said the lcd was split he literally forced it and snapped it himself, those lcd panels sit quite loosely in the back of a phone and a bracket holds them in place, what's happened is he's tried to pry the phone open after it's just been resealed and instead of lifting the full lcd unit he's lifted the first crevice he saw on the lcd and snapped it, on top of that these experts didn't even open the devices prior to sending them in, when they dropped that phone it could have easily caused damage to its interior which they would have blamed on the shop

I rang Eddie Bingham to mend My Computer and He came to my House in Boston Lincolnshire and did not charge me as he lives in Boston only charged me for Looking in my Computer he diagnosed I needed a new Battery and he came out when it arrived he came back and never Charged me for coming out again, fitted the Battery and just charged me for the Battery never added more than it cost him I was well pleased And I Would Recommend Him to anyone
