Those Plato parallels really hit home - I always liked Goldmask's mending rune - seeing how the progression of civilization is present in TLB, philosophy goes hand in hand with the story, and Jung/the Shadow sure seems to be somewhere in there as far as the meta-narrative is concerned... Hell, with the concept of the Shadow stuck in a dimension of its own, maybe "the Shadow" is really that ever present aspect of duality civilization can't seem to escape... But NEEDS to for true enlightenment and change. Feel like I'm right there with you

Plato was wrong about the highest good. That too is an illusion. For in the light, you cannot see the dark but in the dark you can see the light. One who knows the dark can overcome but the one in the light is blind.
