no. 3 is really growing on me. the dead looking eyes give it an eerie, corpse/mannequin vibe, and the makeup is the most creative out of the 3 imo. and the strawberry preserve insides? genius!

As a custom cake decorator I love his energy so much in this. And the comparison between cake art and makeup is so true! Our work only survives through photos and film. It can be frustrating but it’s part of the fun for sure. Everything is temporary! Enjoy it while you can!

The first cake was the best-banana cotton candy for hair rather than fondant was a fun choice and a bit more imaginative than just piling things up with fondant.

This was absolutely deranged and I want to make a cake of myself now. I'm one of those people that has a delusional confidence in my creativity due to a few minor successes but then I get rabbit holey super quick and am like, "Oh. I see now that [BLANK] is not in my wheelhouse." I think that would be me with a me cake.
You know who would SLAY this? Sideserf Cake Studio. She is PHENOMENAL at the realistic cakes. No cap. She even did a cake of herself!!

I'm not sure what my favorite part was - Trixie's reactions upon seeing each cake for the first time, the INSANE craftsmanship that went into each one, or the sassy editing.
I admire trixie being able to compose herself to not start actually just devouring every slice at least until the cameras were cut
I just really appreciate how polite and positive Trixie is about the cakes she got and the artists. I love watching 'bought this cake from a professional baker-' until they get to the point they spend 5-10 minutes complaining about how things look. Nice to see Trixie showing so much love to the people who work hard on their edible art! You're such a gem, lady.

@Mandi W because they're not actually that bad. Cake art is always inferior to canvas or digital art because the medium is so difficult. It's graded on a curve and that's fine.
I vote for the first cake. That one needed bigger lips, but besides that, it was the cleanest and best rendition of Trixie, imo. Besides this, I think the banana cotton candy hair was fantastic! Fondant is such an obvious choice, but it is heavy when you go to transport cakes and a cake can be damaged just from the shear weight. This was brilliant. Bravo to all the artists! You can tell all all talented! It is incredibly difficult to work with edible mediums and cake is especially challenging!

I came here to hear Trixie cackle like a witch and I was not disappointed.
Trixie is literally the only person who can get me to watch what is, essentially, a 15 minute ad, albeit an inventive, amusing, shady AF 15 minute ad. I don't even like cake and now I want cake. She's a genius.
As a baker myself i can say how extremely talented you need to be to make something like that. Cause its not easy at all. The proportions and the weight distributions. I absolutely lived for the first one ! The second one still looked great but more balloon like, the third on its side profile was amazing, 12:02 looks great, but it looked more like a melted barbie, i did very much love them all !!!
Also as a baker I find it very hard to believe that they actually sculpted box cake mix, to me it’s always been too fragile for stuff like that
@@joegarcia770 I've heard of professional bakers using box mixes but with different ingredient proportions etc to make it easier to work with. More eggs to give it more structure, and switching out butter for oil so when you freeze it, sculpt, and then refrigerate it, it's more solid. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that because technically they still used the cake mix.

Trixie if love the french vanilla, try adding french vanilla instant pudding to the mix and instead of water use milk and add one more egg! Its so so so so soft and moist and delicious!🤗
My favorite was the first one-They used cotton candy as the wig. My immediate response to the 2nd one was “Detox?” And Trixie agreed. When Trixie started cutting into the 3rd one l was like “Katya should be doing it.”
