It is possible to make a lens cap with 3D printing, but it is not recommended because the quality of the thin, wide and flat output is not very good, and the durability and finish are not very good. Moreover, it takes quite a long time to create a printout. I think it's better to use off-the-shelf lens caps that are cheap and practical. :)

This is excellent, Can you design 70mm front push cap so it can be customised with Lens identification? like simmod caps.
