@@aspaceproductions I listen to a lot, and do mean a lot of alternatives and indie music. There is just something unique and awesome about horsegirl. They could have a second album which could suck, and I'd reconsider. But as for now, they stand above the average indie band.
Bold take, but I think you're right. The perfect consolidation of shoegaze, alt rock, and art punk. They have a very bright future. Just saw them with Pavement -- Horsegirl complimented them incredibly well. You can tell they take their influences seriously and are able to internalize them and breathe them out with a new life and energy.
@@oranginator back in the Smiths era, there were over 200 radio stations as well as major cable companies promoting alternative rock through out the country. Today's young music crowds aren't exposed to any type of rock music. Bands such as Horsegirl, Linda Lindas, Wet Leg, Amyl and the sniffers and Hello Mary have to re-event the wheel. I give them all credit for trying such impossible tasks.
The Smiths? Lol, not even close. These girls need character in their stage performance. And a lot, lot more songs.

They are more animated in the interview. This kind of animation would look good in your performances. Like you are having fun playing. Study styles of older bands, musicians. The song Anti-glory is great but something is missing in the stage performance.
I’m sure these teenagers who are currently successfully putting out music and have opened for pavement before even leaving high school will take your advice into account 😂
They are signed to matador records and had Lee Renaldo play on their album
