🍿 The Nightingale is NIGHTMARE FUEL
🎬 Connor shines the Nightmare Fuel spotlight on this horrendous tale of revenge, oppression and racial abuse at the hands of British Colonialism. Jennifer Kent's follow up to The Babadook, starring Aisling Franciosi & Sam Claflin, is not for the feint-hearted...

What do you think of THE NIGHTINGALE, and does it belong on our Nightmare Fuel Hall of Fame? Let me know! - Connor
I watched this movie as a mother to a 3 month old baby, living in Australia as a descendant of Irish prisoners with some aboriginal mixed in. I want to watch it again. The only scene that is too much for me is the scene where Clare's baby dies. It's not the graphics, but the heartbreak and sound that make it hard. This is a very important movie for people to watch. THIS is why we don't celebrate "Australia day".
This movie is probably one of the most disturbingly beautiful films I’ve ever seen
Sam Claflin was fantastic in this and I still hate "him".
This is one of those kinds of films that I really love, but will
Could you PLEASE cover The Seasoning House? It's only of the most disturbing wartime human trafficking movies ever made and it's AWESOME. Set during the Serbo Croatian Conflict, the heroine is so great...just watch and cover it! I think you will add this pitch black grim fairy tale to your Hall of Fame...for some
I put this film on my watchlist in IMDB.
Shepherd's Chapel Network !!!!!!! Chapter by Chapter / Verse by Verse !!!!!!! Amen
This movie is one of the best.
Love your content, thanks for this
This one reeeeeally fucked me up, man.
If you're interested in more Aussie films, you should take a look at Mad Dog Morgan, starring Dennis Hopper. It's a psychological biopic about one of Australia's most unhinged bushrangers, and it's presented as a kind of surreal nightmare. There's a lot of hellish imagery that showcases the harshness of mid-19th century Australia and how this cruel environment can turn someone into a bad egg.
This film hits differently.Being Irish this shows the horrors that the Briish Empire put apon people and cultures throughout history. This brutal reality of history needs to be taught more. Through the magic of cinema and in schools.
Movies like Come and See and The Nightingale show the horrors of what the past was.
I love this movie. It’s soooo brutal/grim/depressing but good
I've seen alot of fucked up movies, this movie fucked me up
