Fitness and healthy living really is the fountain of youth. People often mistake me for being in late twenties / early thirties when I’m actually 43 years old. At age 29 I was overweight and depressed. I looked in the mirror and hated what I saw and how I felt. I asked myself, “If I would’ve started a year ago where would I be today? And if I start today, where will I be a year from now?” That’s when I decided to start my fitness journey and never looked back. I’m in better shape mentally and physically now than I ever was in my twenties. Just start doing something and never look back unless it’s to see how far you’ve come.
Me too. I’m 72. Still Mountain Biking, still running, can play soccer ⚽️. Flexibility and consistency are the keys. Love your goal. Longevity. I’m impressed.
I'm sure you remember being 26 and thinking you were getting old. Thank you for giving me hope. I was so worried, I suddenly feel like if I keep adiment I will be young TWENTY YEARS from now! Which is amazing! Thank you.
I know I felt at 26 I had wasted all my prime and it was too late. It made me even more demotivated since I thought what’s the point now. But honestly, you’re still in your prime and it’s definitely not too late for ANYTHING.
I turned 24 less than 2 weeks ago and I was having a whole quarter life crisis for months leading up to it lol. I know it’s ridiculous but time is going by really fast! I feel better now that it just is what it is tho, can’t change it!

Im 41, with 2 kids, thought I was healthy and fit as, always lived a very active and healthy lifestyle and was diagnosed with heart failure last yr. Is so bad that they can't fix it. Gave me a max of 5 yrs if that.. I never smoked, drunk, never done drugs, always exercised.. it was hereditary apparently, from my grandfather and aunt. I was forbidden from exercising. I can only do short light walks now. Had to move locations, from a tropical climate to a cooler weather as the extreme heat was not good for my condition either.. Good on her for keep going! Life is short, mobility is so important! Keep it up ❤

46 years old... No point in hiding your age you look fantastic... You're in great shape and you are very mobile and flexible... So you're doing something right.
This is the truth. Too many people give up in their age. It is always easier to give up due to an injury or pain than it is to continue fighting and reap the benefits of further conditioning. I myself have had some serious injuries and undergone life threatening surgeries, yet I have always gotten back up, you can too. Let’s rise together my people!
I need to hear from more people with injuries, pain and inflammatory conditions. I stopped moving for a while, thinking I was protecting myself, and lost so much fitness. Now I keep stopping and starting because I keep hurting myself.
Doctors encourage it. Everytime people get hurt it's "rest and take pain killers" I've tried it, it doesn't work. Unless you're recovering from surgery and you'll literally tear yourself apart, you need to strengthen the surrounding area of whatever is injured. If your back hurts, train your core and stretch.

At 71 I had a major spinal fusion operation. It lasted 7 hours. I now am learning to walk again. Balance is difficult, and core muscles are of course week. I was very fit - regular exercise, weights and treadmill - when out of the blue I required urgent surgery. I was walking with a limp and complaining to Doctors of hip pain for 20 years. Fortunately a cousin of mine, a rheumatologist ordered tests and said I require surgery. I have some nerve and muscle damage in both legs. I wish I could do what you do. You are awesome❤
@@Alfreds.Romero I’d have to review her case, but this is NOT common. I’d suspect vertical compression injury on lumbar discs from hard landings on her feet.
Yeah that’s really rough with a fused spine. I was injured in 2002 at 42 years old by a bad fall from a motorcycle which left me in constant pain at my L3 vertebrae. Emergency Dr. said I was fine… but I knew different. I was in agony the rest of the weekend and contacted my Dr. first thing on the Monday. He offered a Catscan and they saw the disc was herniated and so I received appropriate treatment. I used to play Football in College and Hockey - as well as an over 25 Rugby League. Anyway I just had a total right knee replacement (Titanium) 8 weeks ago and I’m walking with a walker. I also am having a total knee replacement in my left leg September 9th. Whilst I know I’m blessed to live in a Country with access to these amazing surgical techniques, and the Orthopaedic Surgeon and his Team are incredible, it still is a lot of physio and work just to walk again. If I could tell anyone PLEASE do yoga or walk or just swimming to keep flexible. I’m 6’1” and 250 lbs and I’m pretty good shape… but I honestly didn’t see this coming and I hope I get a full recovery so I’m not walking with a walker or even a cane if possible. It sucks I’ll never do the things I could do but I know many people obviously have it much, much worse than me. I definitely envy AND admire her for sure. Much ❤ and respect from Toronto, 🇨🇦
Dude seriously. Nobody able bodied should not be able to do this. It’s literally one pistol squat, not even completely to the floor. Maybe in another 20 years people will watch someone do a pull up and go “NO WAY!!!” I definitely picked the best time in human history to be a personal trainer 😂

@@lirich0 legs is the foundation, I used to skip them too tho lol. You’ll get a pistol squat quick if you grab on to something sturdy for support and focus on just lowering slowly
It's not, you just have to get your knee in shape. Learn by pistol squating with a chair beneath you, then over time use something closer and closer to the floor. If you have decent balance, youll be able to do some pistol squats in a few months.

Well good for you. I just turned 50 and am healing from my 2nd total knee replacement surgery. It's not always under our control to be blessed with great health like this. I was born with a pituitary deficiency which made me smaller than average. I gained a lot of weight during my 3 pregnancies. Couple that with living in poverty, having to raise all my children alone and being abused and developing other major health disorders along the way, some hereditary, some due to the overwhelming stress of my life situations. I have always strived to live a very healthy lifestyle in spite of it all but my body could only take so much. I was very fit - regular exercise, weights and treadmill - when out of the blue I required urgent surgery. I was walking with a limp and complaining to Doctors of hip pain for 20 years. @@erenjaegerbomb8653and because she weights 50 kgs….because I’m 35 training since I was 15,but with over 100 kg of weight I’ve the strength and the stretch to do this but my knees scream the same 😂
You probably have weak quads, hence the knee pain. Unless you have an acute injury like an MCL or ACL injury, weak surrounding muscles are typically the issue.
My knees were cracking and in pain in the mornings and going down stairs...and with a trainer and 6 months heavy training and the right squat workout....no more pain...full mobility and no more cracking in knees!!!! And I'm much older than her!!! A good trainer knows what works! Start moving slow ...for max benefits within just a few months.😊😊
