Thank you Mr. Spicy for another excellent video! Also thanks all for the great comments :) One thing to mention, it is not obvious unless you know they are there, besides the four 3x3 turret mount points there are also 4 slots for adding either rocket launcher or pulse laser guns on the right and left near the reverse thrusters. Again, thank you Mr. Spicy and everyone else :) :)
Jeff, your vehicles and ships have really contributed to my enjoyment of the game. I'm not a very imaginative designer and so I'm glad to use these good looking craft that have a nice cohesive style.
The Nomad ST is a AWESOME CV...a true mobile base, with all the room an EGS player could ask for.
I liked the look of this ship just from the pictures in the work shop, This video only sealed the deal, I cannot wait to try it out.
Great video MSG! I like how you showed both versions giving people the explanation between the two to prevent any confusion.
JRandall a phenomenal starter CV option with the ST. You’ve given some real space to grow. It has all of the room if not more then the Carparace, with a sleek new design, even easier route, and far less price tag. I recommend the Merc MX5E to place on top as it’s his new starter SV that showcases this slight pivot in his design as of late.

best one i have seen yet for a single player. no bs furniture that doesn't work , just what you need to get the job done plus a little more room to grow.
"A landing area for one vessel or two smaller vessels" Or.....
sports. Soccer, football, dodge ball, etc. Just don't throw the ball overboard because you'll be the one who has to go get it.
Thank you Mr Spicy - great clip again. I absolutely love this JRandall design, it has it all. As a ship designer he is definitely evolving and its fun to watch. 4 fridges, 2 adv. constructors, plenty of cargo ... all the things I would need in a first (and last?) CV. And it also looks amazing, balanced and very realistic from a structural view.
Its great to see more lean, compact, practical designs for CVs in 1 person PvE games.
I will download it and remove the 54 growing plots and reduce the 2 adv. constructors to 1 adv. + 1 large because of the resource requirement early in the game and call it my "Emergency CV" that can be built off world when stuck in a one-way-universe on a hostile planet in your small warp drive SV (happened to me in Alpha8 few days ago).
Looks like a very good CV for when you get to get out of your initial system!!
That was cool, I assume that Jrandall has made vessels that he has accompanying with this vessel, it would have been nice to know those as well

Is their any way to contact the creators of vessels/bases to show them what mods one has made to their design?
I was going to build the XT but then I noticed there was an armored version of the ST. I had the resources for either, but I'm a solo PvE player and I was concerned the XT might be more than I needed.

So, Adv Constructors don't require Z & E anymore, or am I mistaken? When you said Starter CV and I saw those...
This is correct. It wasn't the case with alpha 7, but I found no reason in alpha 8 to not include the advanced constructors unlike my older starter CV the Carapace-C2.
Haven't been able to play since Alpha 6.2... thought it was software, being Alpha and all that... ended up being the beginning of a low death of my vidcard. So, I have some catching up to do.
Do you have any recommendations for an earlyish game base or small CV for a mobile base?

XCaliber (Steam EGS Workshop) has a full series of bases that start at "early game" go up from there... I can NOT speak too highly of XCal's creations.
its a good build, but hes one of the best, expect nothing less.
he/she has been banging out some very good ships for alpha 8 cant wait for it to it live next week
hey look another ship thats been ruined by the CPU requirements. This vessel will need tier 3 possibly even tier 4 CPU to run which are absolute nightmares for a low level character.
