Excellent 1st Podcast Episode from the Headless Chickens Squad. Great positive and clear discussions on important issues and topics in the world of Airsoft 👍🏼
Great podcast mate! I’m team headshot and totally agree with what you have said on regards to the headshot topic. Thanks for the shoutout! Keep up the good work!
Headshots are definitely part of Airsoft, I can't understand sites that try to ban it, just grow up. We don't usually aim for the head but sometimes shit happens
Sup. Congrats on your first episode. Never really understand why so many refer to Airsoft as a sport. Am I missing something? Other than the fact you're physically active while playing it doesn't really fit the definition. There are very few universal agreed upon rules for Airsoft, rules differ from country to country and even from field to field. Imagine if the rules changed every time a football team went to a different stadium. There's no recognised governing body that overlooks Airsoft like there is In even the most niche of sports. I much prefer referring to Airsoft as a hobby cos that's exactly what it is imo. Something to occupy men's brains in their free time and to soak up all their money. Best/worst hobby in the world 😂 Just a thought. Maybe you could discuss in your next episode
Dictionary Definitions from Oxford Languages · Learn more sport noun 1. an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
"The Dictionary meaning of hobby according to Oxford is “an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure." Dictionary definitions can be fairly broad and the dictionary definition for "hobby" is also applicable to airsoft However, when you get into the minutiae, defining Airsoft as a hobby makes way more sense. The only reason to class Airsoft as a sport is the physical aspect of Airsoft but there are so many other aspects to it. Most people spend about 5% of their time playing Airsoft and 95% of their time thinking about Airsoft, tinkering with Airsoft guns, arguing online about Airsoft, building kit (basically cosplay), arguing online, posting pics, watching Airsoft content, arguing, building guns, collecting guns and arguing... There are way more hobby aspects to Airsoft than sporting aspects imo
Most sites only have a team colour band and Identify someone wear multicam er yer... solution... two bands with a number for example green 22... that way you can inform a marshal you suspect player green 22 not taking hits... you've passed on that information and now it's up to the marshal to action... regarding head shot... I agree with allowing head shots... the target area is from the top to the head to the soles of your feet... It's those that cause injury I have an issue with... that's why I wear the Red Is Dead Airsoft noggin protective system under a bandana... and tested with @DMR_DAVE who has shot me with his DMR build under twenty feet...
Awesome Simon, looking forward to more of these 👊🏽

No one ever said it’s not a hobby, or a game. Most sports, are also a hobby, an obsession yet also a sport.
it's just out... if you're using radio speech ;)
