Hi Mark- Very nice shave and razor review; thank you! The new Wilkinson looks like a very nice razor; great that you got such a good shave! I hope your week starts off nicely and all the best!
Hello Mark... enjoyed the shave with the new Wilkinson Sword. A very nice looking razor. I enjoy the Wilkinson Sword blades as well. Have a great week.
I've just had my first shave with the new Wilkinson Sword and it's a nice razor. I very much enjoyed it and it allowed me to have a faster shave than normal. I used one of the WS blades which came with it and found it to be slightly milder than I prefer but it gave a close shave after three passes and a tidy up. I've bought the gift set for a good friend's 18 year old as his Xmas present. He was keen to try my Merkur 37c when we were on holiday, but that was a bit much for a first DE shave! However this razor and the kit will be perfect for him to get started.
That's really excellent, David. It'll make a really nice present for your friend's son and set him along the road very nicely. I remember what a thrill I got with my first de shave. It is just slightly addictive 🙂 Good job, mate.
Hi Mark. I bought this razor a few days ago in Tesco, Sidcup and used it for the first time this morning. I didn't want to open the Wilkinson Sword blades that are provided as I want to keep the packaging as complete as possible. I used a vintage Gillette Super Silver blade instead. I bought the Super Silvers off of ebay a while ago but didn't want to open them. In the end I couldn't resist (I have ordered some more for display purposes). Today's brush of choice was my Omega 48 Professional boar which is breaking in very nicely with lots of split ends developing. Well, what can I say? One of the best shaves I've had for a long time. The razor feels mild but is very effective. I did 3 passes because I like the BBS but could easily have got away with a 2 passes. Finished off with TABAC aftershave - my wife loves the smell. To conclude, I recommend and urge all DE shavers to get their hands on the new Wilkinson. Perhaps if more people buy it, Wilkinson and Gillette will wake up and smell the aftershave and start making more like this after all these years of plastic, disposable rubbish. Cheers, mate. Great video and thanks for sharing with us.
Hello mate. I know Sidcup quite well - I spent a little time there in my wayward youth. I'm sure it has changed a great deal, since I was nineteen. It sounds like you had a terrific shave with you're new razor. It's good value, I think. I haven't ever tried the Super Silvers, it sounds as if the did a good too. Of course, your wife likes Tabac - the panty dropper 😉 Cheers.
@@FriendshipShaving Hi Mark. Very interesting to learn that you spent time in Sidcup. It hasn't changed much and I'm nearly 50. Whereabouts in the UK are you now? Do you know, I have never heard the expression 'panty dropper' before, so I have added it to my vocabulary. There are some Super Silvers on ebay from WitchyWench. Her late granddad used to work at Gillette and she is clearing his house at the moment. It's well worth trying some because they really are a terrific shave. I bought mine from string-to-short-to-be-saved1 on ebay. He accepted an offer of £7.49 twice if you are interested.
Fascinating showcase of this new Razor. The fit and finish is extremely attractive though the handle looks a tad long for my liking. Glad to hear lavender is still a favourite of yours. The extra video was a nice surprise on a rainy Sunday morning!.
Good morning Paul. I hope Sharon and yourself are both well. The handle is huge; It seems even longer than the handle of a cartridge razor and I know they tend to be quite long. Of course the lavender is still one of my favourites 👍 It's great.
I just got this one and am a little sore after the first attempt but i am still a beginner, i usually shave after a shower when my beard is really soft but was eager to try this one.great video, good to pick up tips.
You can do it! Hi Julian, sorry for the delay, I am just catching up on my comments. Just take it easy, and it will all come together sooner than you think. The great thing is that a different razor blade might make the razor feel slighty different. Light pressure! Take care, mate. 😁
Just had my first shave with the new Wilkinson sword Mark. For £15 it’s great. It’s a mild shave, nice and smooth. Feels good in the hand and I was surprised at the weight and quality for the price. Would make a lovely starter razor too. 👍🏻💈
I think that if I concluded my video with a thought for the day, your last post would have been an excellent thing to say. I hope I got that across. I might have to start including a concluding thought, it suddenly seems like a good idea. Cheers.
It is a very cheap razor considering it carry's the Wilkinson Sword name. hope like Gillette they will continue to explore the safety razor market. All the best.
Thank you for an excellent demonstration. Do you, or does anyone remember a Wilkinson TTO, of around the late sixties, with satin dark blue/grey handle with a matt chrome about 2cm-long vertically knurled twist mechanism at the bottom of the handle?
Thank you, Elias. I think you are talking about the famed Wilkinson Sword 'Sticky'. I have shaved with one, in a video somewhere. It had an acrylic hand which, wasn't sticky but allowed non slip grip. It's a very mild razor and the do appear on eBay.
They're great. It's nice to someone else them. Do you know I was having a look at razor blades the other day, there are so many brands that I think you'd be hard pushed to try them all. It's a great position to be in and I do wonder if de shaving is becoming more popular than people imagine.
Bought mine last week in Tesco (North Ireland) and have to say I’m very impressed. Relatively new to DE razors- I’m strictly a Mach 3 guy as I’m a head shaver as well. Though I shaved my head last night with this razor and the results were great. Only one small little nick/ weeper so thought that was pretty impressive considering my relative inexperience. Would recommend this DE to novice wetshavers as its very mild and easy to use. And for £15 with 5 free blades?? That’s bargain of the year 👍🏻 Great videos sir, keep it up!
That's excellent and I agree with you, it is a great razor for a novice wet shaver. I think it's quite unusual to see a de razor in the supermarket. I wonder how many cartridge shavers will be tempted. It sounds like you did a great job on your head. Thank you for the compliment about my videos 😃👍 All the best.
Great shave! I'm glad you liked it! Was a pleasure! I do find this razor better with some sharper blades in. I found it more pleasant than the original plastic one, as I felt the plastic (imperfections?) Does not cruise as smooth as the metal on the face, thus the better sensation. Speaking of German products... Have you tried speick already? They also have some terrific products with great ingredients list. Cheers!
Hi André, I've really enjoyed my first shave. Thank you. I prefer the more aggressive plastic one; if they made that in metal - wow! I have tried Speick shaving cream. I liked the scent but the shaving cream had something in it that made my chest tight; I'm a little asthmatic. I was disappointed. Take care my friend.
Excellent Neill, I'll look forward to seeing that. I was so surprised to see one in Tesco, nice spot. I hope you're enjoying your Sunday. Mine seems to have been busy with washing and cooking. I need a maid 😃
Thanks for your review! It's a nice looking razor, especially for it's low cost. The longer handle is quite a contrast to other DE razors I've seen and used.
Unfortunately, there was something in the Spieck cream that burned my skin slightly. I ended up giving mine away. It was a great shame because it was something I'd looked forward to using.
Ken, I have a spare one; if you would like it, I'll gladly post it out to you. You'll be able to find my email address on the RUclips channel. Cheers 👍 Kind regards - Mark
Thank you Russell. I hope you and your family are well. I imagine you're still working very hard and I hope you soap and brush making enterprises continue to be a success. Take care mate 🙂
You will have to forgive me, im new to double edge. Do i have to use the wilkinson blades with the razor or can i use other brands? Like feather ...ect. many thanks. Its only £12 in sainsbury at the moment which is remarkably cheap for a quality double edge, so i'v been told.
There's nothing to forgive - we have all been where you are. 😃👍 You can use any double edged safety blade and you'll find they can give you a different feeling to your shave because some blades are sharper or have different coatings etc.I like Voskhod's; Wilkinson Sword and Feather blades but the are all different and I like exploring and trying different blades. Give it go, mate. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. You can always jump in on the Friendship Shaving Facebook group if you have questions. All the best. Cheers.
nice 1 Mark, looks good for the price point, guess i will be having a trip to Tesco !!!, take care mate, have a great Weekend, well whats left of it .... all the very best Mark
Very nice and thank-you for the video. Allow me to ask: If I was travelling and looking for convenience, I tend to leave my D.E's at home and use a cartridge (daily) in the Gillette Fusion Power. In your opinion, do you believe this would be a better option that COULD be used daily and would certainly be less 'tuggy'?
Hi, I hope you're well. Thanks for the question. Yes - I think this is a good option for travelling and it certainly could be used daily with less tugging. You'll obviously be able to put your favourite blade in. A razor I really like a lot, which is really cheap and a fantastic shave, is the old Wilkinson Sword Classic, made of a plastic material. It cost me £5! Seriously that is a great razor - you'll be surprised. 😃👍
... Home from work now : Thanks again. Ordered from Amazon and strangely, it isn't showing on the Wilkinson Sword website, but the plastic one is. I fancied trying a twist to open, but without spending hundreds on a vintage Gillette.
I'm sorry, Leonardo but I have given the razor away and I don't know the answer to your question except to say, it is a normal size width and there is a little over hang of the blade at the edges. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
I'm sure it would be a nice razor for your son. Personally, if I may say so, I would go with Edwin Jagger which I feel is a razor your son would happily keep in his den, forever. I'm not sure the WS is the same quality as the EJ. In terms of aggressiveness they are fairly similar but please bear in mind I haven't used either for a while now and never side by side. Have you considered a Parker TTO?
@@FriendshipShaving I have an Edwin Jagger and I use it pretty much every day. I love it. My son is 14 - if he uses something that has 2 or 3 pieces = he's guaranteed to lose at least one of the pieces... it also needs to be mild... I know of Parker TTO but I have no idea how it compares to the WS or EJ. Thank you.
That explains a lot 😃. In that case, the WS will be fine for him. Another one you might consider which I think would be even better for your boy is a Weishi TTO. I had a black coated one which was a very nice and mild TTO razor. Cheap too.
Great video. Do you know how I can contact Wilkinson to order one of this? I'm living in Portugal and I can't find this model in any place. Thanks in advance
Hi, how are you doing? I got in touch with Wilkinson Sword through their website and wrote them an email via the contact email on the website. They were very quick to respond and look into my query. I think you'll have some luck.
I guess I pretty well used every kind of razor incuding some barber strait razor shaves which were nice close shaves but I never had the nerve to buy a strait razor for fear of cuts and nicks. I never used an old school safety razor before and when these Wilkinson Sword safety razors showed up I bought one and got a close shave with it so no more pricey disposables for me.
Hi Owen. I've never had a barbershop straight razor shave before and I do like the idea. I'll bet it's quite relaxing. I think the Wilkinson Sword razors were priced at just the level to encourage people to try them out. The disposables are expensive but I haven't saved any money but it's a lot more enjoyable 👍
Looked like a really good shave today. WOW, though, that is a loooong handle! HAHA I do have the Wilkinson Sword Classic razor heading my way in the States. Can't wait for it to arrive. Hope you have a great Sunday and look forward to your next video. 💈💈
Hi Antoine. I prefer the plastic one, I find it to to be a more aggressive razor, although not overly so and it really suits me. The 'new' WS is a good razor but it's very like a few others on the market. I don't you can beat the plastic razor for value.
Neill bought his for £15. It's strange but it seems they were withdrawn from sale in Germany. I'm not sure what's happening there. It shaves like a Super Speed I think. It's been a long while since I used a SS razor so take that with a pinch of salt but I might well do a side by side shave. Cheers.
Wow cool had no idea wilkinson sword are making a metal DE razor. I have the classic and really like it so think I'll be upgrading to this one for Christmas.
How does this compare to the Merkur 34C? Been using it for a while and wanted to try something new, seen it today in Sainsbury's for £12 and thought it could be a good option.
Hi Sam, I think it's better than the 34c. I always thought the 34c was just too mild. The WS is still a mild razor but I think it is more efficient and it is a good price at £12. It's a well made razor and it'll let you try something with a long handle. I don't think you'd be disappointed 🙂
Sorry, of course you are, you mentioned Sainsburys. I've got one you can have mate; I've just been hunting for it. If you let me know your address, I'll send it to you. You can get in touch at: happy-mark@live.co.uk
It looks like a fine razor and a excellent tool for a beginner. On the other hand for more experienced wet shavers who already own multiple razors(not counting "Collectors")I don't know how appealing it might be. I think there is a danger of "Razor Bloat"; meaning too many very similar razors doing the exact same thing. This could lead to market saturation and cause it and similar razors to sit un-purchased on store shelves.
That's a really well thought out point Keith, thank you for putting that forward. You may be correct in your thoughts, I suppose time will tell. I suspect that, as it's on sale in a large supermarket in the UK, perhaps the aim might be to provide a different option to the cartridge razors we normally see in such outlets.
Great video! I've got a question... Where is it made? Is it German like the blades? I've been using a Gillette Super Adjustable for several decades but I'm determined not to use Gillette products anymore... For a while at least. I'm also curious about the mildness you mention... The blade seems fairly exposed on yours (sort of like when I set mine to 7 or 8) so, I wonder... Could it be so well balanced that you take it for mild even though it isn't? Congrats on your channel. Cheers!
Hello Ramon. I believe it states on the box that it is made in Germany, although don't hold me to this; I don't have the box anymore. It is well balanced and I don't know the answer to your query about blade exposure etc. Have a nice day. Best regards to you.
I was doing a razor blade change on all my razors Wilkinson Wilkinson Gillette Pol silver Feather And I noticed a difference in sizes on the width so the question is this, is one sharper than the other or just the width making one more aggressive than the other
I don't know, Mark. Thanks for passing that along; I'm certainly going to be checking the razor blades that I change out. Honestly, it never occurred to me that razor blades may have differing widths! It does make sense that a wider blade feels more aggressive.
Hi mark ust wonder if you can check your self as this wilkinson sword is identical to the long handled weishi the head looks the same to me hi just think this wilkinson sword is made by weishi in china the heads are the same just differen handles an different nerling
Hello. I no longer have either razor, but I seem to remember there was some talk about this at the time. It seems entirely reasonable and very likely that this is the case. Wilkinson would have purchased their razor from an existing manufacturer. At the time Weishi were putting out razors at a very good price. It seems more than likely.
Hi! First of all I really love your reviews. As you were so happy with this one I decided to buy it. It arrived today and sadly it's an exact copy of the weishi. Absolutely not worth buying when you already have the weishi. Luckily it wasn't that expensive...
I honestly didn't think it was the same, Kim. A similar head certainly but my apologies to you. I should have made more of the similarity in the video. Thanks for letting me know.
Obviously it wasn't your fault. The review itself was perfect. I was just posting this comment to notify you and other followers so they could learn from my mistake 😉
I can’t get past how long that handle is(great for the ladies) and I can’t get away with those blades. The blades might suit that razor if it’s mild. But I think it’s fantastic that there is a decent DE razor available in mainstream supermarkets. Hopefully it might convert a few people to proper shaving, saving money and the environment.
Good day Colin. It is a really long handle; it's a bit over the top in my opinion but it somehow feels very comfortable; that's a really good point you make about it being good for the ladies. I wonder how many fellows will pick it up and try a traditional razor after seeing in a supermarket. Do you think we'll see a new Gillette de razor in the supermarket one day? Imagine that 😃👍
I've seen it here: www.amazon.co.uk/Wilkinson-Sword-Classic-Double-Safety/dp/B07HM9D1BN?SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q&tag=duc08-21&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B07J71CJSF&th=1
Hi David. It really is too long, isn't it? I'm surprised Wilkinson Sword chose such a long handle. Still it's refreshing to see a big company produce a de razor. I hope it sells for them and they make more razors 🙂
Hi Mark, I'm enjoying your increased productivity on the video-making front. Your whiskers can't grow fast enough as far as I'm concerned...LOL :-). You answered all of my questions i.e. how did the new Wilkinson Sword compare to the older Classic and is the older model going to be discontinued. So, thanks for that. I haven't seen the new model in my local Tesco's but hopefully they will stock it. It's a big enough store. The price is really good but isn't the old black Classic a bargain? Boots have them for only five quid, including the blades. I am pleased W/S have recognised there is still some demand for DE razors. There is a lot of waste plastics in disposable and cartridge razors which is obviously a hot topic at the moment. Enjoy the remainder of your weekend mate!
Thanks David, enjoy the rest of your day too. I've got my feet up 😃 I think I might buy another Wilkinson Sword Classic (plastic) to put away for the future. They are brilliant especially considering the price. Amazing. You can buy one of the new WS razors on Amazon I believe.
Mark Just to let you know that this new Wilkinson Sword Twist To Open Butterfly DE Razor is Made in China by Edgewell Personal Care Manufacturing, Jock Stewart from Glasgow.
Thanks for that information, Jock. It's always good to learn a little more. It stands to reason really; I think nearly everything is made in China. 🙂 Cheers.
@@FriendshipShaving also Just to add that the older plastic Wilkinson Sword DE Razor is also Made in China by Edgewell Personal Care Manufacturing as well, Jock Stewart from Glasgow.
Great shave mate... I have to say I can't find that razor anywhere at the mo'. I'd like to give it a go if I can find one LOL. Now...If we can get Gillette to swallow their pride and do a couple of genuine reissues, that'd be grand! I have to laugh though, you're really digging the milder shaves and the smile at the end is priceless. I've been having similar experiences and I have to say, you CAN have a pretty decent shave with milder razors. Just requires a slight change to technique and a little adjustment to expectations.
I know Mark but I'm beginning to feel the R41 needs to make an appearance🙂 These mild razors are giving me a few lumps and bumps. I often get them with a mild razor. We'd love a new Gillette wouldn't we? Just imagine though if it wasn't that good!! 😮
Its bloody typical i drive nearly 2000 miles around Germany and visit almost every DM store i come across looking for one of these razors but could not find one anywhere ...i come home and they are in fking Tescos!! LOL!
Sorry mate, but that made me laugh 🙃 Jens Wagner was told, by a DM manager, that they were withdrawn from sale on instruction from WIlkinson Sword because 'no-one was buying them'. They were plans to introduce through Europe, so I was told but that's all I know so far. I believe though you will find it on the Amazon UK website or Tesco in Northern Ireland where Neill bought his.
Hi Jens 😃 I shouldn't have waited, André sent me the razor weeks ago but I understood that Wilkinson Sword were going to send me a lot of information, which in the end, they didn't do. Still, it was nice to watch Kevy shave with it. It's great that you guys in Germany are looking after us. 👍 Enjoy your day.
@@FriendshipShaving we wetshavers have a great Community! I like it! But now you have to look for us. The razor is not available anymore. They took the spare ones out of the shops and nobody knows why ..
@@FriendshipShaving i am really not sure what the reason is. One day there were like around 15 left, next day gone. And the Chief of the Shop told me, that Wilkinson said the have to stop selling because almost nobody buys them... That makes no sense to me... Ah, maybe they collected them and brought them to the UK. 😂
Ah, now that's interesting. Maybe you're right. I think I'm going to hang on to my unopened one. They may have been looking for a return similar to there cartridge sales. Perhaps it will end up being sold online. Interesting. Thanks Jens.
You know that smiling face you use is a grimace. I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me 😃👍 I'm only teasing Manny. I hope you and your family are very well. Take care buddy.
Hello, thank you for your question. It will depend on how heavy and coarse your growth is. Some fellows get a few days use from a blade, some a great deal more. Use your razor blade until you feel it is not comfortable or not performing as well as it should, then change it. I get about seven shaves from a Wilkinson Sword blade. Cheers.
Thanks Mark! I'm completely blown away though that they still actually make these type razors!
Nice one Keith.

Thanks for the shout-out Mark 💈👍 I've just used mine and will be putting up a SOTD post very soon .
You're welcome and as always Mark, thanks for your support. Cheers. 😃
Speick is a very good soap and cream too. I'd love to see you review speick. The aftershave is beautiful too.
Unfortunately, there was something in the Spieck cream that burned my skin slightly. I ended up giving mine away. It was a great shame because it was something I'd looked forward to using.
Well, Mark, you've now added poetry to your channel: "Devil from Dundee...pipped me to the post." Nice alliteration! Great video👍😊
I must admit to liking a bit of poetry; I have even written a little but this time, my run of alliteration was quite accidental. 🙂
This was my first safety razor and I love it. I now have 2 safety razors.
Nice one 😃👍
Nice review and 2 videos this week. Keep them coming Mark👌
I know - I'm worn out 😃👍
nice Shave-Video!
Thank you Peter. 😃
Excellent. I can’t find that anywhere that ships to USA yet
Ken, I have a spare one; if you would like it, I'll gladly post it out to you. You'll be able to find my email address on the RUclips channel. Cheers 👍
Kind regards - Mark
Thank you very much for the kind offer. A friend in the UK has one in the mail for me. It’s silly they don’t have them more available 👍👍👍💈
Oh, good. I'm glad you'll be able to try one out. Take care.
I just bought it in a drug store in my country (Czechia), and I have never seen any DE razors in any drug store, ever.
Excellent. I hope it suits you. All the very best 👍
Hi, I am currently using Merkur Futur, 42C and Edwin Jagger DE87. Do you think I need to buy this machine as well? Thanks.😊
No. There are nicer razors than this, even though this is a twist to open the razor, it is cheaply made, hence the price.
@@FriendshipShaving Thanks. I gave up buying it.
Enjoyed the shave Mark :)
Thank you Russell. I hope you and your family are well. I imagine you're still working very hard and I hope you soap and brush making enterprises continue to be a success. Take care mate 🙂
@@FriendshipShaving Thank you Mark :)
Mark, nice to see an extra vid this week, have a good Sunday, hope you are well.
I have the Wahl version it's great ! Comes with the stand ,bowl and boar brush
Very nice. I'm glad you're enjoying it. 👍
You too buddy. Take care to avoid the rush at Tesco's.
@@FriendshipShaving Thank-you!
... Home from work now : Thanks again. Ordered from Amazon and strangely, it isn't showing on the Wilkinson Sword website, but the plastic one is. I fancied trying a twist to open, but without spending hundreds on a vintage Gillette.
how big is the head? how many mm in largeness. Thanks!
I'm sorry, Leonardo but I have given the razor away and I don't know the answer to your question except to say, it is a normal size width and there is a little over hang of the blade at the edges. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
Good Shave Sir
Thank you, sir. I appreciate you watching. All the best.
Hello Mark,
How aggressive is it compared to an Edwin Jagger? Looking for something for my son to start with... TTO would be nice.
Cheap too.
@@FriendshipShaving Cheers! I will look in to it.
@@FriendshipShaving ok thanks for the reply. I'll contact also via email and maybe I'll have some luck. Keep going with your great videos
Thanks very much for your great comment. I will keep doing my best. Have a fantastic weekend.
Amazon do them £15
Very nice razor, I just wish it will come soon available in Canada. That would be for sure my next DE.
Fingers crossed for you Gino. Take care 😃👍
It is a long handle 🙂 I hope they come to the States for you; I can't see why they wouldn't. Fingers crossed 👍 Cheers.
So in a nutshell what did you think about this razor? And how does it compare to the plastic one?
Hi Antoine. I prefer the plastic one, I find it to to be a more aggressive razor, although not overly so and it really suits me. The 'new' WS is a good razor but it's very like a few others on the market. I don't you can beat the plastic razor for value.
Hey mark I would love to have this in my den it looks a super speed how much is the razor
Happy Christmas 😃 Too soon?
How does this compare to the Merkur 34C? Been using it for a while and wanted to try something new, seen it today in Sainsbury's for £12 and thought it could be a good option.
Hi Sam, I think it's better than the 34c. I always thought the 34c was just too mild. The WS is still a mild razor but I think it is more efficient and it is a good price at £12. It's a well made razor and it'll let you try something with a long handle. I don't think you'd be disappointed 🙂
@@FriendshipShaving Thanks for the reply! Sounds good, will definitely give it a shot.
Sam are you in the U.K?
Sorry, of course you are, you mentioned Sainsburys. I've got one you can have mate; I've just been hunting for it. If you let me know your address, I'll send it to you. You can get in touch at: happy-mark@live.co.uk
@@FriendshipShaving thanks! I'll give you an email
I just ordered one off Amazon.
Nice one, Tim. Best wishes for the new year 👍
It looks like a fine razor and a excellent tool for a beginner.
Nice looking shaver!
It's very reasonable priced, I thought. Thank you for watching and for leaving a comment. Have a good week 👍
Mine arrives tomorrow can't wait to give her a try. I'll be loading her with an Astra SP, not keen on those German Wilki blades.
I was doing a razor blade change on all my razors
Wilkinson
Wilkinson Gillette
Pol silver
Feather
And I noticed a difference in sizes on the width so the question is this, is one sharper than the other or just the width making one more aggressive than the other
I don't know, Mark.
Is that chrome over brass do you suppose?
I don't think so Mayur. It doesn't feel heavy enough.
Hi! First of all I really love your reviews.
As you were so happy with this one I decided to buy it. It arrived today and sadly it's an exact copy of the weishi. Absolutely not worth buying when you already have the weishi. Luckily it wasn't that expensive...
That's disappointing.
Thank you, you're very kind Kim. Take care 👍
I bought one just like it today AT Tesco for 12£ in London!
£12 is a great price George. I hope you enjoy shaving with it. Cheers 👍
A very long handle but a nice looking razor.
Hi Abe. The handle is super long. I'm not sure why they chose to have such a long handle.
Imagine that 😃👍
Friendship Shaving I would love to see Gillette TTO adjustables being on the shelves as the preferred razor.
How many of us switched to DE shaving to save money! lol!
True! 😅 That is so true Craig.
Perhaps Gillette are secretly working on a 2020 red dot Fatboy. Can you imagine how quickly that would sell out!
Класс 👍 У нас в России я видел только пластик Wilkinson Sword 💈🤠
Thank you. Have a great week.
I recently got this razor and I have noticed that the base of the nob there is a lose ball. Is yours the same?
Please let me know.
Thanks.

Hello. Mine has a tiny amount of movement but I have to really concentrate to notice it.
Friendship Shaving thanks a lot.
Good shave btw.
You're more than welcome and thanks for the compliment. 🙂👍
Where can you get one?? I wonder if Gillette will ever bring back a safety razor?

I love my merkur 38 c . The handle is longer then the 34c but this new razor handle is to long .
Hi David. It really is too long, isn't it? I'm surprised Wilkinson Sword chose such a long handle. Still it's refreshing to see a big company produce a de razor. I hope it sells for them and they make more razors 🙂
Yes . I can understand why they made it . Wet shaving is coming back. I would buy one with a shorter handle .
I've got my feet up 😃
I think I might buy another Wilkinson Sword Classic (plastic) to put away for the future. They are brilliant especially considering the price. Amazing. You can buy one of the new WS razors on Amazon I believe.
Now they need one in gold!
Hi, if you are interested I can hook you up with one. Can send you straight from Germany! Let me know
I know Mark but I'm beginning to feel the R41 needs to make an appearance🙂 These mild razors are giving me a few lumps and bumps. I often get them with a mild razor. We'd love a new Gillette wouldn't we? Just imagine though if it wasn't that good!! 😮
André, Jens has told me that the razors have been removed from the shops in Germany.
So keep it, it will be a collection razor 🙂 Nice shave, my friend
Thanks Peter - good point 👍

Hahaha. The Devil had help from germany. Sorry about that! 😉 I didn't get more, so i couldn't send one to the other Devils ah, shavers!😂
That's very strange, Jens. I assume they were selling quite well and gaining a little bit of interest.

How long should I use that razor blade from Wilkinson Sword? Is there a rule?
Hello, thank you for your question. It will depend on how heavy and coarse your growth is. Some fellows get a few days use from a blade, some a great deal more. Use your razor blade until you feel it is not comfortable or not performing as well as it should, then change it. I get about seven shaves from a Wilkinson Sword blade. Cheers.
