I have a we knife gesila pry bar, I carry and use it all the time. Ive used it to get into my wives car, pull nails, in the kitchen to open old style smoked paprika cans with the inset lids and open bottles when everyone is looking for their bottle openers. Its definitely imho a reasonable edc tool.
I definitely agree. Having an EDC prybar has been super helpful and convenient. I find myself using them more and more each day. I wasn't aware of the Gesila pry, it looks like a fantastic option for the price. Thanks for the comment!
I use a Schrade SCTPT2 titanium prytool, discontinued, but you might find one for around 37 bucks. Toor knives has a stainless one for around 35 that I edc often. And then there's the Griffin prytools in different materials & sizes.

Their website is really nicely done, their pictures are great, products look beautiful, and they have a really cool section under sustainability. I'm definitely going to have to check some of their products out. I may try to get a hold of a folder too, they look really nice. Good call on the Griffin too, I've watched a couple of reviews on their stuff before. Not sure why I haven't picked anything up yet though. I recently picked up some prys from a local PA guy, Titan Talon Tool. He has an Etsy store and his prices were reasonable. I'd like to get a video done of his products compared to some of the other items I currently have.

I have titanium pbar from hamans..titaner dan griffin in different sizes and style. Serve me well for my use and never fail me once. Open boxes. Tighten bolt nuts..scrape stickers etc. Very useful somehow. I like it. Imho..prybar is prybar. I dont use prybar for doing things that need presicion. For me 100 and up prybar is no different to 40-70 dollar prybar. And if i wanna really use it..i def choose the cheaper one for prybar...but for choosing knife is a different story. 😊🍻

Thanks for the feedback. They are definitely cool tools and your concern is warranted. What I have found is, they are great at small every day tasks like prying open battery compartments in toys or pulling out staples etc. I have some really big prybars for when I need to pry on something big, I've found these are a great standin for using the end of my knife and they fit better in my pocket than a screwdriver.
@@sauconoutdoors2247 totally valid i agree with you on that, something I didnt think of but do all the time, use the blade of a knife like a pry tool. This would be better for those things.

Even certain Spydercos are upwards of $150 and I'd rather use a tool designed specifically for those tasks than risk breaking my blade. Definitely not for everyone because they are a bit pricey, but there are some cool companies on etsy making some that are cheaper too. I think that these tools are cool but I would be worried about one major thing with them: lack of leverage. They’re awfully short/small.

I don't understand why they keep putting bottle openers on just every tool. It's useless and in this case it only weakens the pry bar.
