That oem glue/double sided tape is the hardest to take off lol ! I also like the CS or the M performance. The high kicks are just too much. Doesn’t give it a clean look
Love my CS spoiler, also my favorite front lip is still the CS lip, it's just the right amount of class and some look at me. The high kick stuff IMO is geared more for someone who's got the full aggressive front/ side skirts/ rear diffuser and more. Replace that M badge with a black one nao :D
Great video. Let me add a suggestion for removing the foam/tape residue from the trunk. I have a F83 and found that first using Mineral Spirits effectively removes the dark grey foam substrate very quickly and without much fuss. Then use denatured alcohol to remove the glue left behind, and it seems to work much better than GoofOff.
I have the 2x2 carbon performance and love it. Subtle is exactly it, looks close enough to stock with a flair of aftermarket. I will say that fitment was exceptional. Don't forget to tap the edges when installing or you'll scratch your paint like I did! Thanks guys, great products!

I opted for the Turner Motorsports f80 m3 spoiler. Its a bit big but man I love the way it better follows (and ties together) the contours of the top, side and rear of the trunk. -Cheers!
You chose the best spoiler, looks nice and not too much. Same year I mounted exactly the same spoiler on my 335i, I chose the same color as my car instead of carbon.
forged carbon M Performance for sure.... I have been a big fan of forged carbon ever since I saw it on the lamboghini huracan permormante.... i feel its better... its almost like a high end black ashwood panel which I think is the nicest trim you can choose for any BMW..... loved that ashwood trim on the 6 series...

I think you made the right choice, although I'd much rather see it in black instead of carbon. Also, I'd recommend trying a 3M adhesive remover wheel next time you need to remove a lot of adhesive. It makes the job quick and easy

When installing the spoiler do you usually line up with the back line of the trunk or offset it like BMW does from the factory? I would assume it is just a matter of preference.
So I installed the same spoiler but it’s weird how there’s a microscopic gap between the trunk and the lip. Is that normal? Or is it usually completely flush with the molding tape?
The CS version definitely offers the right amount of suble and aggressive looks. Personally the larger wings just won't age well. As far as weave carbon vs. forged...you'd have to redo everything so that everything matches in either case. Great videos, you're answering a lot of questions for folks on the fence.
Nothing different, use a heat gun to remove the old spoiler and residue, you actually don't need to go anywhere close as to using a polishing wheel to remove the old adhesive, it's tape, it will stick perfectly and be flush. Just ceramic coat the new spoiler beforehand.

I haven't done that, but the second mod we did to the F80 was a full crank hub. We will make a video about it when we get a chance. We have the footage, just swamped with other videos

I've had the high kick (aggressive) on my F32 for 2 years now. That with a nice front lip and drop. You'll stick out like a menace.

Always In Motion it’s brutal!!! I ended up damaging my paint getting that shit off. It’s kind of overkill.

I used the m performance spoiler on my 435 and it is the perfect in between of sport and class. Great choice!

M performance looks the best! IMO. Its what I have on my f30 but estoril blue not carbon.
Snap On makes a nice pneumatic tool to remove the adhesive without paint damage. Works amazing. Better than chemical products!!

A red M3 is not subtle to begin with. Should've gone with the high kick, if not, the CS. Might as well fully commit to turning heads.

Good choice but my preference is the CS style. It sort of continues the dimpled roof. The package leeks even better with a CS front spoiler.

Yea it was a PITA, a heatgun and plastic razors help but it's better to use rubbery/ mechanic gloves and just roll the thing as you heat it up.

do these lip spoilers do anything aerodynamically or is it purely for aesthetics?
They all will give you a little downforce, but it won't be enough to be noticeable in most cases, unless you're heavily tracking the car
