Watching this makes me look at how to play the game differently and not mark from the get go. And it's so satisfying when you get a chain of 1-2 pairs and it solves itself from there
I've never needed a hint for One Up until Puzzle 200. 20:59 was the moment I needed to finish this puzzle. It took me an hour and 15 minutes to finish it and I would not have been able to finish it with your video, so god bless your soul!
X-Wings are finally making sense!!! Thank you for that! The part where the 4's X wing knocked out the other 4s in that row was the key...I solved the rest of it on my own....but I sure needed your help through the middle. toughest one yet...glad to know you struggled a bit too 😆. I too had to start over cuz I messed up and boxed myself in....whew! Glad this is over - hopefully Monday's puzzle is easier!!!
Thanks for the video! I managed to solve it without the X-Wing in under an hour. Instead, I used some strategy somewhere at the bottom, but I forgot what 🤔
My wife and I tried it multiple times the whole afternoon then we joined forced and solved it. Almost same approach. This puzzle was hard but very fun!
I didnt know there were any methods for solving thise puzzles until today. I had to give up after an hour of trying alone and came here to learn or copy, depending if i understood whats going on xd
We had our monthly board game last night, I was working on this when it was time to set up, I forgot to hit pause....so my time on this puzzle was 9 hours and 29 minutes....my new record by a lot! But I did finish it
First, thank you. I would have never given up partial notes without your suggestion. Scanning accuracy and speed are way up. Improved methodology in finding better solve paths. I did the app once with notes. Then again a week later, slower, without notes. Then again a week later without notes, but faster. 27:11. No notes. I have the video but there’s no narrative, just lots of thinking time between runs of digits.
48:38... good spot on that xwing, i ended up having to bifurcate the 45 pair in r7... if the dev is listening id prefer having harder puzzles like these and having something to learn
22:27 Wait but he kept saying there is a 123 triple but it was just a 123, 12, 123. Ive never done sudokus and im now learning about the patterns and all that from playing this game, how is that a 123 triple if one of them isnt a 123 but a 12, since there already was a 3 in that column??
if either one of the 123 has a one or a two the other two cells are set because the 12 deletes the second possibility. Or maybe easier if the 12 get solved the 123 turns into a 23 or a 13 pair
Ahh i see, if either of the 123 is 1 or 2 then the 12 has to be the 2 or 1 meaning that the remaining 123 cell has to be 3, thank you i get it now !@@psvoid740
1, 2, and 3 must be in those 3 cells, it doesn't matter that one of them can't be 3. What other digit would you put into those 3 cells such that you omit a 1, 2, or 3 from them, knowing that you can't repeat any digits?

I was stuck at the same point as you with everything pencilled until you spotted that key for me!

You just got yourself a sub, that X-wing had me stuck. I knew of their existence, just not how they work.

I couldn't find a way. Glad you did this!

This puzzle is brutal. Its pencilmark worthy. But once you find the break-in its worth rewarding. Puzzle solved in 25 minutes.

12:20 for me, went pretty smooth to my surprise 😀
The 10x10 are hard. But fun!
Hard one, took me a LONG time. In your solve, the 8s could also go in row 9, I think you may have been lucky there in the beginning..
I notice that early on and restart the puzzle
@@Rangsk I later saw that, good work! I didn't find the X-wing with 4 but at number of 1 on the right, limited to 3 columns.
Hard one today, but I finished it. Sad news took over an hour. (that's with marking the grid)
Tried to do a clean solve. Ended up having to pencil mark (Goodliffe) in the end. Took me over 53 min.

I gave up after 45 minutes on mine 😭
