Just lost my job at a Kickboxing Studio where they only gave me 30 days and I guess I didn't make the cut. I was a little down on myself stop working out for a few days. Got my will together & started applying again. Just found out I have another interview this Thursday. However, it's gotten cold in Florida and I just DID NOT want to go on that bike for cardio and do my calisthenics. Finished watching this interview and began thinking "how am I going to feel sitting on that sofa Friday morning if I didn't get that job knowing I should've gotten on the bike". Got on the bike, stopped for pull-ups, push-ups and gonna do it every day. Like Goggins says... I'm trying to be my own hero. Love you Goggins! 👊
I feel you and you just got to keep pushing .I an older college student and it not easy working 40 hours a week taking 2 to3 classes and have time to train for a few ultramarathons next year. I failed a few times but I just keep going because I am going to make myself good enough.

I love how David matures in each interview. His vocabulary grows, his concepts get clearer, but still maintains that hardcore message without losing any of its flare. I love hearing the man speak because theres so much passion and enthusiasm to help other people even after the hell he was put through growing up and the hell he put himself through. When I first learned of who David Goggins is a month ago, I stopped being complacent. That first week I went to the gym 13 times, two a-days and an extra on Saturday. If this guy doesn’t show you that the human body and mind is capable of ANYTHING, then idk what else will help lol. Still kicking ass a month later 💪🏾

Goggins has caused a total paradigm shift in my thinking. NOW whenever I am tired or beat or feel like I am done working out I think I am really only at 40% and theres a reserve I haven't even touched. And when I go deep into the reserve I enter the suffering. Post all suffering their is growth. Goggins has figured out the growth formula.
Goggins gave me a new perspective that allowed to change me life over these last 10 months. I am in the best place physically/mentally/emotionally Ive ever been. I treat people better. I feel like Ive found a better moral compass. My relationship with God has gotten so much better. Thank you David Goggins and STAY HARD

If you have ANY mental toughness, if you have any fraction of self-discipline The ability to not want to do it, but still do it If you can get through to doing things that you hate to do: on the other side is GREATNESS ” - David Goggins
It's crazy, David Goggins everywhere now haha. Good for him! I remember when there were only few interviews up with him on RUclips. Heard most of these stories already but he always drops an extra nugget or two to add more to it. Looking forward to the book
Right? Now he's all over the place but good for him! After all the unbelievable crap he's endured... If there's anyone that deserves fame & riches it's him. However, you're right. Even though with every podcast most of the same stories are shared, he always DOES drop an extra bit to it. If you're looking for ALOT more crazy stuff though, you have to get the audiobook. @@mindhunter8772 "Social Anxiety Disorder. The defining feature of social anxiety disorder, also called social phobia, is intense anxiety or fear of being judged, negatively evaluated, or rejected in asocial or performance situation."
Based on David’s fucked up past, a sedentary person would fall apart, angry, pessimistic, unproductive. I’ve seen it and experienced it, and it can get VERY ugly. Exercise really calms all that down. It’s when you stop that pessimism seems to build up and overflows in your body. He gets that release and sedative from exercise every time he finishes a workout, every day. Fountain of life.
Goggins, a true practitioner of self-reliance, self-understanding, and self-mastery. I met him at Naval Base Coronado many years ago. All great minds in history can combine to echo his sentiments. Emerson, Lucretius, Cicero, Seneca, Bruce Lee, Lao tzu, Montaigne, the Hagakure, just to name a few. I really dont think you can just sit on your ass like a monk and reach full self-development/actualization and psychological self-sufficiency from the external world. the real gold -- character and intrinsic confidence-- is built and earned through overcoming hardship and gaining self understanding. the greater the suffering the greater the wisdom and confidence gained. The key to the mind is to observe and seperate the conscious cortex, subconscious limbic, fight or flight amygdala, and lastly the perceiving faculty or "you". most peopel are addicted to extrinsic confidence such as external validations. they are rattled by their peers opinions...only natural. true jewels like self-development and intrinsic confidence are not thought up by sitting fatalistically resigned in a quiet temple room as accepted by mainstream thought. nor is true friendship with oneself and one's spiritual connection to his Source gained by adhering to a rigid pre-set values system designed by primitive nations and missionaries of the judeo near east. a true person is a well-rounded and thinks for themself. he/she is water. as much as he/she is a warrior, he/she is a student of life, and presses forward courageously in the face of all odds with ferocious tenacity and steady calculation until the last breath. only he who has seen the deepest trough can soar to the greatest heights. you must suffer uncommonly if you would achieve uncommon mastery of yourself. make yourselves proud. if you have no friends in this world, know that the eminent dead (as munger put it) smile with you. And know that, most importantly, you respect yourself for your hard and sincere work to being the best version of yourself as possible. unaffected by praise or blame, self-reliant in the face of all external perturbations. Hooyah mother fuckers lets go get it. LEST FUCKING GO
This is probably the best podcast with Goggins. I listen to him everyday and he gave me the spark to do marathon and I have completed two ultra runs alone. He is a LEGEND! 🔥🔨
@@ArtofCharmTV The overall interview was amazing, really. What stuck out to me was these examples - When your life ends, mine begins (David together with other SEALs) - If people put a bad title on me, to make Themself feel better. - On The other end of suffering, there is a beautiful world very few have ever seen. I love all that. We all have to push ourselves everyday to get better. He is so damn right. Thank you
That makes me think of my manager. He gave me the shot for this job I'm unqualified for. I'm not letting the devil take me down. Probably I can make my manager admire me with excessive grind and some faith the size of a mustard seed. God bless all these great examples out there.
In a couple months I went from tons of exercise and semi-pro ballroom career to post-covid chronic fatigue syndrome. My health has always sucked, but for the first time it was dangerous to push through the crappy feelings. I couldn't even think right. So I spent the past year becoming resilient and picking apart every assumption I'd made about myself and life in general. A few days ago I got lucky. My 2nd covid shot got me out of the post-covid syndrome (the 1st shot gave me some horrible side effects lol). I was immediately prepared to jump headfirst into repairing my broken and atrophied body and brain. I'm so sore and tired, but I chose that. After a year of pointless and choiceless constant pain and fatigue, choosing to feel sore and tired is amazing.
When i started listeninng to the book, I started to run everyday. 2 weeks in and I was only going a little bit farter everyday, basically pretty "tired" at the end of each run. Today I said fuck it let's just keep going and ran 5 miles nonstop, not knowing when I was going to stop. Did i get cramped or ANYTHING? Nope, but every run before that I would get cramps. The Brain is fascinating to me now I'm starting to not be a loser/failure
i have serious respect - AWE - 9:39 for this man who literally fire jumps. I saw a raging fire this week. I actually saw two in one day, and all I could think of was how frightening it was.
10:15 was so inspiring, I wouldn't give people the attention and simply shut them out. Now, when people tell me what I cannot do, I'm going to let them know I'm doing it. To their face or not, let people know which steps I've taken to get ready. Connecting with the right people, working on myself in all necessary ways, creating powerful note systems. 12:00 being in your low position and realizing what it would mean to overcome all that shit, with all the disadvantage actually catching up and flipping it?
So frustrated with myself because is so easily swayed by things going wrong. Everything goes out the window. I want to stick with something for once in my life but I'm addicted to comfort!
@@ArtofCharmTV Absolutely! Just used some and linked to your video in the description. Have you interviewed other people inspiring like Goggins? What episode of yours would you recommend i listen to next?
I get his Point/philosiphy. That laser focus and gritty work ethic. Problem is only that I don't know what I should direct my focus at, not having a clear end goal is more of my problem.
I think Goggins has read into what the "old men" say about our minds and made a kick ass applicable version vs. inventing new psychology as I sometimes hear him selling it. His book is awesome. You do yourself a disservice by not giving it a read or listen.

NOW whenever I am tired or beat or feel like I am done working out I think I am really only at 40% and theres a reserve I haven't even touched. And when I go deep into the reserve I enter the suffering. Post all suffering their is growth. Goggins has figured out the growth formula.
Goggins on another podcast that I will watch!
Bought it. Read it. Loved it.
No theory.
Just do it.
Roger that.
today is my 6th day of cold showers and i feel amazing!!!
Everyone hates themselves, it was just that he had the balls to declare it, face it, and do something about it.
In epic fashion. He’s a unique individual.
God bless David Goggins and all his endeavours! 🙏
Thank you for watching. Favorite takeaway?
“False motivation becomes real motivation after a while.” Simple and true.
Don’t you love his blunt messaging. Boom!
Still one of the greatest podcast episodes of all time. Just freaking gold, bless ~
Thank you, it was a blast. David is a one of a kind.

Gift of the SPIRIT... I see with my eyes and I hear with my ears... you Goggin's are gifted in Hope Giving by showing humility :) Love you man your one of the GREATS!!!!
“It’s so easy to be great nowadays, because everyone else is weak. If you have ANY mental toughness, if you have any fraction of self-discipline The ability to not want to do it, but still do it If you can get through to doing things that you hate to do: on the other side is GREATNESS ” - David Goggins
He brings something new to each interview, i love this.
26:34 excellent question. Followed by an excellent answer
Best investment I've ever made. Great stuff! I actually had to stop listening to the first part after a while. His childhood was so horrific, I have NO idea how he survived. Just unreal.
@@truckerwellnesssusa yeah! Super happy for him! I will still hear every interview he does haha. And believe me the audiobook is definitely on my list of things to get this month!
stoked for him and stoked for all the people that finally get a glimpse of what they are capable of, this is exactly what society needs so fucking bad
His book is number 2 on Amazon this week. Guess he didn’t need that $300k
getting on Joe Rogan helped getting his story out there more I think. Could be wrong
“...all you’re doing is building a bigger, stronger quitter!”
Gold.
Deal with the root causes and rebuild a strong foundation on who you really are. Roger that Goggins!
The clarity of thought, honesty and raw power of Goggins is inspirational. Thank you.
I couldn’t agree more, one of our favorite interviews

Brilliant, so honest, and true! and Inspiring especially for people that have suffered social anxiety.
What is social anxiety?
@@mindhunter8772 "Social Anxiety Disorder. The defining feature of social anxiety disorder, also called social phobia, is intense anxiety or fear of being judged, negatively evaluated, or rejected in asocial or performance situation."
Pretty much gotta watch every David Goggins interview on youtube
Beast ! Love the guy, We wanted to hang with him all day!
Fountain of life.
beautiful perspective !
David is a life changer
Wow the nuggets in this! So much wisdom! Love the style of questioning its bringing some of the best nuggets form Goggins Ive seen.
Thank you, what’s your favorite takeaway?
Thank you David Goggins for sharing your story! You are an inspiration to me and many others. God bless you 🙏
Goggins, a true practitioner of self-reliance, self-understanding, and self-mastery.
LEST FUCKING GO
This is the best comment I've read in quite some time.
David is the Man.
Truly is!
What a incredible man what a warrior what an athlete!
Truly uncommon amongst uncommon men.
he is not an athlete, he is "Goggins"
This was ASMR for my mind.
thank you for this, Goggins's brutal honesty is refreshing to hear
I’ve watched soooo many Goggins interviews…your questions are so unique and really tap into his mindset in the day to day! Thank you
Thank you! We try to get a different interview from our guests. What stuck out in particular?
This is probably the best podcast with Goggins. I listen to him everyday and he gave me the spark to do marathon and I have completed two ultra runs alone.
He is a LEGEND! 🔥🔨
Thank you for listening. We appreciate the kind words. What stuck out to you in that interview?
@@ArtofCharmTV The overall interview was amazing, really. What stuck out to me was these examples
- When your life ends, mine begins (David together with other SEALs)
- If people put a bad title on me, to make Themself feel better.
- On The other end of suffering, there is a beautiful world very few have ever seen. I love all that. We all have to push ourselves everyday to get better. He is so damn right.
Thank you
Right on, great points!
That makes me think of my manager. He gave me the shot for this job I'm unqualified for. I'm not letting the devil take me down. Probably I can make my manager admire me with excessive grind and some faith the size of a mustard seed. God bless all these great examples out there.
Goggins for President
Hell yeah! 🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️
@@ArtofCharmTV Righhhhtttt!!!
Damn can’t believe I haven’t seen this gem. I was following you guys in your of podcast days
i listen to goggins everyday
This is a great interview. This is the most introspective interview I heard from goggins. Thank you interviewers for the great questions and goggins !
Interesting.
i have serious respect - AWE - 9:39 for this man who literally fire jumps. I saw a raging fire this week. I actually saw two in one day, and all I could think of was how frightening it was.
It’s quite amazing.
going into battle with myself!!!!!
thank you david…..I am still fighting this mental warfare with my self !!!
Thank you *Art of charm*

The most insightful David Goggins interview
i agree David (BIG) Goggins!!!! I am only ever racing me... oh shit I forgot! I'm only ever racing me, myself and I!!!
this guy. So much wisdom, and so ingrained.
Yep, one of my favorite interviews ever.
Watched a few David Goggins podcasts and yours was definitely the best ! The questions asked were perfect, thank you !
Thank you!
Goggins is blowing up since that JRE interview, everybody wants to have em on there podcast, rightfully so Goggins is the fucking MAN!! #stayhard
Love this awesome thank you for sharing
You are so welcome
10:15 was so inspiring, I wouldn't give people the attention and simply shut them out. Now, when people tell me what I cannot do, I'm going to let them know I'm doing it. To their face or not, let people know which steps I've taken to get ready. Connecting with the right people, working on myself in all necessary ways, creating powerful note systems. 12:00 being in your low position and realizing what it would mean to overcome all that shit, with all the disadvantage actually catching up and flipping it?
Right on, go out and show them how wrong they are.
legend has it that sylvester stallone watches David goggins for motivation
So inspirational. Truly transforming my mindset and accountability in my every day life.
Agreed, my perspective has changed from talking with David.

Great guy and interview. Very inspirational.
Goggins is basically a Dharma talk 🙏
Best interview with David, yet!
So frustrated with myself because is so easily swayed by things going wrong. Everything goes out the window. I want to stick with something for once in my life but I'm addicted to comfort!
Marsha Alison look up 75hard.com do the 75 day program and watch yourself grow into the person you trully want to be.. you wont know until you try it.

Thank you for the interview. Greetings from Finland.
Thanks for watching!
There is a 'God!' David Goggins 'EXHALED!'😀😀.
Love this guy.
I get his Point/philosiphy. That laser focus and gritty work ethic. Problem is only that I don't know what I should direct my focus at, not having a clear end goal is more of my problem.
Tell the truth....
... or at least don’t lie
I really would rather hear Goggins talk than some nobodys chiming in.
1:00:42 This is a very good question, and I think all of us had this at one point...
And I love his answer. :)
I think Goggins has read into what the "old men" say about our minds and made a kick ass applicable version vs. inventing new psychology as I sometimes hear him selling it. His book is awesome. You do yourself a disservice by not giving it a read or listen.
Battle between old and new
