Muratatam is SO much more than just metal drummer. She's a well-rounded musician (something sorely lacking in in the field of music industry-produced and promoted pop stars). Not only can she play drums in a multitude of styles, she's a multi-instrumentalist, composer and darned good singer as well. The lady has her stuff together.
They had always been mixed since the Armmy era.Listen to their first few singles and debut mini album,as it has some heavier songs like Roulette,Lost Angel and Broken Lover among others.
It is, Yuri was out on maternity leave last year and Murata Tamu filled in for her during the festival (Nemophila was also playing, so she played two whole sets).
@@sebrussell Tamu was asked even though Hana could’ve played drums instead of rhythm guitar. But they really wanted to play with Tamu because she’s such an incredible musician. She played all of Gacharic Spin’s songs straight off the music sheets during the performance.🤯💪🏻🤘🏻
This was the second time Tamu appeared in Gacharic Spin line ups. This time it was Yuri's maternity leave. The first time was in 2018 when Tomo-zo hospitalized during GS tour. Hana was still GS drummer that time and she covered for Tomo-zo while Tamu stepped in for Hana's seat behind the kit.
I like that band. What I do not like is that Hana wants to do everything. Singing, drumming and guitar playing. For me it seems that she can decide what she wants to do and the others have to follow. Especially the singer ( what the hell is a microphone performer, is this another title for " you can sing when I need you" ) is often only making some sports on the stage and nothing else. Even Oreo is more allowed to sing. As the "microphone performer", I would quit. Sorry Hana for me you are similar to a cannibal who wants to eat everthing. Even as a important member you should not do this to the other members.
Overall, I think they did a great job integrating Angie (and Yuri, for that matter) and re-arranging a great deal of their past catalogue from 4-piece to a 5- or 6-piece lineup. When Angie came in, she had no (none! nada!) experience as a singer at all, and was not even meant to be the lead vocalist.
