@@Diddy_Wah_Wiggy I know, right? That was amazing! Even more amazing was the one who hopped into my deck in the morning *while I was writing the song* !
@@Renaissance-Man-Ukulele Thanks, Cody! I never really tire of the wildlife here - they are amazing! I'm grateful to be here ... and moving to a new place always entails some gains and some losses. I underestimated what it takes to build a new life in a new place ... and it's coming together and I'm happy to be here.
Is this one alone or are walla-A, and walla-C just someplace you can't film? I thought they tended to travel in small groups. BTW: Wallabies eating grass works out to be a net carbon capture.
@@kensmith5694 She was the only one at time of filming. Sometimes they travel solo - or she may have had a little one tucked away. There were more of them closer in the morning, including the one on the deck, but I was still writing the song. I was grateful to at least have one in the afternoon so I could record ... and the light was running out, so it was then or wait for tomorrow.
@@UkeCan1 I think it is true. On cows, it is mostly true but cows make methane. I heard that kangaroos and related critters don't produce nearly as much methane as cows.
Love the way it perked up its ears every time you sang the chorus. Priceless!

This is a nice play on Paul's song, Wendy. It must be wonderful living in OZ.

“You could hop for the people!”
You’re not paying him enough
@@brianfergus839 What could I pay them? All they seem to want is grass, and they already have a whole neighborhood of that. 🤷♀️
@ my wallaby works for beer 🍺
@@brianfergus839 Does it make him hop?
