Nobody that I know ever reads all that fine print. It’s easier just to click ok then it is to read two hundred pages of legal talk that is written so nobody understands it! Good story 👍👍👍
I agree with Dave when he said, "you have a redundant program for a redundant program, but you don't have a rollback program?" I do have a rollback program called, "Rollback RX Pro" that is well worth the money.
This is the very BEST science fiction story and Video I have listened to and it made my day extremely better because this is the 1ST TIME in a long time that I have LAUGHED at the story in several different Places! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Science Fiction Story to anyone who wants to have a Good Laugh because it's Worth it! Right On 😊
That depends on the industry you work in. I know people who read those as part of their work. (It's different when peoples lives actually depend on it.)
I am feared in my industry, simply because I read. White papers, citations, Reddit references. But the reason I have been trotted out to receive awards… why my telephone number is safeguarded but liberally distributed to those in need? Why I’m described as indispensable? Why my title and business card, simply says, “Fixer”, and my telephone number… I read the instructions. I make a lot of money. A lot. Because I’m the knowledge base.
I've worked in home repair and HVAC on boilers and chillers and I can promise you yes you do learn the sounds and can hear that crap. A great in the back of your head and drives you insane so you can escape it. Big box stores are notorious for bad maintenance on their Air handlers and the belt squeaking and the bearings vibrating is horrible
"Something that sounded expensive made a noise that expensive things should never make." 😂😂 That's a great line! 😂
But they do make that sound. And the part is on back order.
"...they even game him a metal, though he mainly used it as a coaster for his coffee mug..." that one killed me.

If you work in maintenance yourself, you can understand Dave's situation very well.......😂😂😂
Nothing like good old fashioned percussive maintenance.
Oh HELLS! I remember Vista! It was GHASTLY!
Everything after windows xp sucked as far as Im concerned.
maybe the minds behind the script will delve deeper into windows OS history and choose another system I heard was quite the "love/hate"

Have to agree about the coffee. Do not mess with me during my first cup
Coffee, because “Get away from me before I rip your face off” is not socially acceptable……..
Excellent story, had me chuckling all the way through. 5 star.

If it ain't broke, don't update it! Nobody ever reads the compatibility notes.

As a computer guy who got volunteered all the time to fix things I can commiserate.
I know you want to stop the intruder but I'd think no shooting blasters in maintenance tunnels with cables and pipes that could be readily hit
FANTASTIC ! Wonder what Cutler and Petzold would have to say about this Tale. Am sure Torvalds is laughing his head off :-)
Dont mess with the maintenance guy, retired maintenance guy

As a maintenance person i could actually picture this happening
Funny! It's better than news!
47 year update time, most definitely a Windows operating program.
Rodriguez and Chen strike again!!
I rarely commented on youtube. Heck, this quality A stuff. I am laughing all the way after Dave got on the Alien ship.
and your not alone
Aliens were obviously ex Microsoft employees. Or, maybe Adobe.
Not volunteer , voluntold. Lol
