Is there any way to record phone calls on an iPhone? I’m in Canada and couldn’t find any apps or ways to record a phone call conversation. Most apps have the record capabilitiesBUT you have to pay for so many credits. Which is not what I’m looking for. Tks.

The mic is at the bottom of the phone and is the one that will be used when recording audio into the Voice Memos app. There is also a small mic on the back camera I believe in most new iPhones when recording videos using the new camera array. I almost forgot about that hoodie. Might dig it out for a new video. I quite like it too.

There are no built in audio filters in the voice memo app. However you can download garage band if you haven't go it already and load up the audio file or even use it to record audio instead of the voice memo app. Then Add a noise gate filter and adjust the slider to reduce the noise in the recording.
Hi i have a question I recorded audio through voice memo when i uploaded my video there is too much echo issue ???can you suggest me any software to clear my voice recording
It's vey hard to get rid of echo after recorded. The echo comes from the room acoustics so the only way to reduce it is to speak closer to the microphone or go into a smaller room. There are some filters you can use on desktop software but none that I have found that actually work on mobile apps. Thanks for watching. Tap on the file the tap on the three dotted icon that appears next to the control bar. Edit the file and a panel slides up with the name of your file at the top. Tap on the title and edit. Save file down.
It doesn't record phone conversations. However there are third party call recorder apps for that. I haven't tested any so can't confirm which ones are best to use.
It doesn't record the internal audio of other apps and I think it stops recording when you open up what's app or any video app. I do believe there are 3rd party apps available that let you record phone calls etc, so might be worth doing a search on that.
Once you tap on record a white panel slides up from the base of the screen. Tap on that panel to reveal the full controls. Now you see a pause button which allows you to pause and start recording on the same file.
Good info! I haven't found any way in that app to splice in other recordings so I import the audio files into Rock Band and splice and blend in that app.

Yes they do. In the Voice Memos app you can tap on the share icon and choose any of your installed apps including text, email or facebook. There is also a record option on the keyboard in your messages app etc that lets you record and send audio files all from the keyboard.

Yes you certainly can. After you complete the recording. Tap on All recordings, tap on the audio file. Then tap on the title until it becomes highlighted, then rename it.
Yeah I know that is so annoying. Gives away too much info. So in edit mode you can top on the title and change it. If you want to change it globally, tap on settings scroll down to voice memos and at the bottom you will see an option for location based naming. Turn this off and the next time you record it will be a filename not location.

Thanks for the feedback. The files are .m4a files. If you tap on settings you can change the quality from compressed to lossless. Compressed is slightly inferior to the lossless format but still sounds great. The files are maintained in the app. if you tap on the share option you can share the file to another device using airdrop, email etc. If you want to save down the file on the phone you can tap on the save to files option.

If the person you want to send it to is in the same house or building you can air drop it. If in another location, try downloading dropbox. Its a free app and comes with 1-3GB of free storage. Then when you save the file down a new option appears to save to dropbox. Then you can email the link to the recipient from the drop box app once the file is in there.

Great video! I have a top down table stand I bought to film with my iPhone. Do you know how I can record in the direction I am sitting? So my viewers can see exactly what I am seeing. It is recording upside down. As if my viewers are sitting across from me, looking at me that way.
I don't think you can change the orientation of the display so the only thing I can suggest it to use apple headphones, wired or wireless to record and that way you can position it any way you like and get the same audio.
As far as I know there is no limit. I have run it for a couple of hours and all good. I think as long as you have enough storage it will just keep recording.

I have a question. When I tap on the voice memo app, I don't get a blank screen I get a list of things I can do like Siri and Search and Background App refresh. There is no way forward, no button to push to start the app. I am probably not understanding something. Please help.
You could use Voice memos to record the audio form the youtube video but you would have to play it on another device or computer as you tube won't play in the background in the app. However if you have iOS 14 you can open up a video in safari and use PIP the open up the Voice memos app. I show you how to use PIP in this video: ruclips.net/video/fjIkbAU0QXk/видео.html

No it doesn't use much battery life at all. I have recorded over an hour at a time and it doesn't go through much battery at all.

Yes I am pretty sure it is unlimited provided there is enough space. I would say you need a few GB free to do this.
