www.motorbeam.com/ drag races the Benelli TNT 300 against the Kawasaki Z250. Both these bikes are very close in terms of performance although the TNT 300 has more power, the Z250 has lesser weight. The Benelli sounds way better than the Kawasaki although both these motorcycles sound sweet and have tall gearing.
So how does the Benelli TNT 300 win? It has more power and torque than the Z250 but power comes in late on the Italian where as the Z250 is quicker off the line. Post 100 km/hr, the extra displacement, power and torque works in the TNT's favour, helping it beat the Kawasaki in the quarter-mile run.

MotorBeam the TNT 300 is. It is not comparable to the Ninja 300 given how different the two bikes are. Of course, purely for drag racing, the Ninja is clearly better. But in a one-bike market like India, where people cannot afford to buy multiple machines for different purposes, the TNT is a solid value-for-money machine. You should probably do a commute and long distance review of the Ninja vs the TNT 300.
If you must know, the TNT has a chopped-in-half, detuned Yamaha r6 engine. It is supremely refined (that yammie engine), massively over engineered, and built to last. And having ridden one, I would go for it any day over say a KTM (so much heat and vibration and engine weeping) or a Ninja. Just my two cents on the whole "performance" perspective that the reviewer collective seems to push on readers.

It's will not be fair bro...I have clocked 183 on TNT 300 and 188 on ninja 300 ....I cud see ninja rockets past 9k and faster than Benelli period !!! But benelli being naked and heavy it still pushes strongly past 170 ...I weigh 69kgs while testing both the bikes !!! If you want drags to win ...go for ktms !!! Benelli and ninja are another level it can take you places and can deliver matching top speeds without a vibrtaor !

Benelli makes very LINEAR 300cc bikes and the exhaust note is incredible compared to the crapy sound of ninjas and ktms 300cc, it has a 180kmh top speed and beatifull features so stop being a pussy and start to learn more about things in general and not only speed and horse power bcs tnt 300 weights 200 kilos ninja300 and z300 weights 160 ;)

***** this time yes but we did around 8 runs and it is so close between both these bikes that sometimes the Benelli wins and somtimes the Kawasaki. Finally we put the same rider on the biker and did timed runs to gauge the best quarter-mile, the Benelli is the faster bike here.

+Ezequiel De la Cueva iv seen some clips where TNT 300 reaches 176.. also weight of TNT really favours the bike at high speed. u know how? it's inertia helps it out.. a mechanicalengineer would know this.. I don't think nobody value this point at high speeds..
