Im 33 years old and happily married to my husband. But damn. I remember my teenage angst the fear of coming out to my friends and family... this song speaks to that young queer kid and brings him so much joy. I sincerely hope that some young gay boy or girl watches this and find the strength to be who they truly are. This is pure. Its love. And its so so true ❤
Thank you sm I’m 13 and I’m a girl and I just started realizing that I’m bi that I love both genders the same and it Dosent Matter who u fall in love with as long as it’s love ur right ❤I hope somday I find my love ❤🤍🤍🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Through my childhood and teenagehood I had various characters and other role models that helped me figure out that I only like and fall for girls, I had known since I was 7, but Cheryl was actually the one that made me admit to myself I'm a lesbian, when she came out in s2 it was when it clicked to me too who I really am and she will always hold that soft spot in my heart for that. Madelaine played her with such a big heart and pride; she figured out Cheryl s being fully and she was the first one who pulled RAS aside to tell him who Cheryl is. That's powerful.
Do you know what it's like To be in love with you? To have my heart still love you When my mind knows it can't be true [CLAY:] Do you know what it's like To be in love with you? Not to remember what my life was like Before I first met you [CHERYL:] Do you know what it's like When I lie in bed And I think of you And the things you've said? [TONI:] How they're almost exactly all the things that I've said too? Oh, do you know? [ALL:] I know I'll never find your lovin' in anyone else Though I'll try Oh, and I'll try And I know I'll never find your smile in anyone else though I'll try Oh, and I'll try [CLAY AND TONI:] If someone were to come up to me And say that they knew how to love you better I'd say, "Buddy, step into the ring, you're going down." [CLAY:] I'd fight a guy for you [TONI:] I'd fight a girl for you [ALL:] I'd fight myself, you know I would If I thought it'd do any good Oh, do you know? Do you know what it's like When I lie in bed And I think of you And the things you've said? How they're almost exactly all the things that I've said too? Oh, do you know? [CHERYL:] How to look into your eyes [CLAY:] How to let go of your hand [TONI:] To start another life [KEVIN:] I just don't understand
If im going to be honest i like this verison of the song better as a queer person it really hits me in the heart and i cant help but always come back to this song.
My thoughts exactly! As a broadway nerd the community universally hates this show for their crappy Glee wannabe attempts but I am so happy this song gets a shoutout! beautiful show
Vanessa's note on the 1st do you know she sings is so beautifully sung
Couldn't agree more. She sang it wholeheartedly.
sometimes i just come back here and start to cry
I love Toni and Clay’s duet verse of the song and then it transitions to the four of them
My face whenever I watch this: 🥰🥹

Real ones will know what Zanna, Don’t is, and realize they ate shit with this…
wow beautiful song! I would love to play this on the piano. Where can I find the sheet music?
Never seen Riverdale but can't believe Zanna, Don't! is getting spotlighted 20 years later. It's a really amazing musical, look it up.
My thoughts exactly! As a broadway nerd the community universally hates this show for their crappy Glee wannabe attempts but I am so happy this song gets a shoutout! beautiful show
I dont love how they took out half the lyrics and changed the entire meaning of the song
…
This was an original song…
They didn’t change the song at all…
This was an entirely original musical episode, not like the past seasons.
@theshortangrylesbian this song is from a musical called Zanna Dont. It's not original.
Easily the best song they made.
Well, IMO 2nd. The deleted Choni one of You Shine in my #1
This is from a musical called Zanna don't.
❤❤❤
they all look 30 and not highschool students which lowkey bothers me but it’s also just a show
I don't get it. This song is from "Zanna don't," but the episode is about an original musical
They probably used it because unfortunately “Zanna Don’t!” Isn’t a really well known show
I wish we got a Barchie scene like this
