Ryan Garcia and Deion Sanders finally meet with a wholesome interaction in Colorado

Worlds collided at the Colorado Buffaloes' spring football game. Superstar boxer Ryan Garcia accepted Deion Sanders' invite to attend the annual intrasquad game in Boulder, where Coach Prime is trying to build an elite program -- and the interaction between the two made waves on social media.
For Sanders, it was a respite from recent controversy about his methods amid growing scrutiny of the Buffaloes' direction. And for Garcia, heading up to Boulder was a welcome distraction from the controversy he courted in Miami, amid continued concerns over his mental stability following his upset victory over Devin Haney in the boxing event of the year so far.
Garcia shadowboxes with Coach Prime
Upon entering Sanders' office in Boulder, Garcia extended his hand to Coach Prime and warmly thanked him for the invite to Colorado's spring football game at rainy Folsom Field. The pair quickly began to shadowbox -- as Garcia did with former president Donald Trump earlier this week -- while the lefty Sanders asked for some quick lessons.
Garcia -- wearing a custom Colorado jersey with his name and the number 12 on the back -- then brought it in for a hug with Sanders, who said "I'm so darn proud of you" regarding Garcia's hard-fought victory over Haney, a majority decision after 12 grueling rounds at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. But in a moment that highlighted the importance of religion in both men's lives, Garcia cited the Bible rather than bragging about his accomplishments.
"If you're gonna boast about anything, boast about the Lord," Garcia said.
But Garcia wasn't done there. The boxer then attended a post-game concert that Sanders organized with special musical guest Lil Wayne, with whom Garcia had the chance to perform in front of an excited crowd. He took to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday morning to thank Sanders again for the invite and warm welcome.
