Not quite, the PKM is a general purpose machine gun, a mg meant to be used as a SAW, mounted on fixed positions, mounted on tanks and aircraft, essentially an universal machine gun. A medium machine gun is something like the M1919, a more mobile alternative to the water cooled heavy machine guns of WW1 like the Maxim. Although, i've heard the term medium mg also being used for the newer mgs chambered in .338.

Never found either but I wager for the latter being rarer than the former 😂
PKM/P are extremely easy to obtain if you want to get one, just play streets and hunt Kaban
