The "glowing" reverb kind of sounds like it's being bitcrushed. I want one now AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA this is like the 3rd reverb you've covered that I want.
Thanks for sharing such a great demo, Em! I think it is a device with a lot of potential. Behind a great harpist, there's always a great guy... Russ! Hugs for both of you! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great review! Sounds amazing and thank you for showing all the various settings and techniques! The higher treble sounds more like giving off tiny sparks, or the effervescence of carbonated drinks. Now comes the difficult decision: Nightverb or Meris MurcuryX since both are same price point.
Before watching this video, I was never interested in lofi bit crushed reverb (which the glowing reverb is similar to), and now I need it in my life ! Amazing music as usual too!
If you were my girlfriend, I would only have one wish every evening: that you play the harp while I slowly fall asleep. That's just beautiful. Thanks for the video! greetings from Germany
Love ES, hate how the printing wears off all their gear, especially at their prices. I have an LXR-02, and I rate the robustness of the faceplate printing at a 4 out of 10. They need to fix that huge issue with their gear. Their stuff is too high end, to have QC issues such as those. They could solve the entire issue, by laying down a thick satin clearcoat after faceplate printing, but they don't.
Really interesting info -- I bought an LXR-02 and I use it all the time but keep it in the box when not in use. Never would have known this was an issue for most people.
@@emilyharpist2 (For the record, I'm on my second face plate on the LXR. They sent me a replacement, after I sent them an image of how poorly the original printing held up. Even my second now, has loss in various places, where my finger tips occasionally bump against the face plate, while tweaking the encoders. I'll probably give it a custom paint job, once the printing is much worse. I don't really want a third face plate, that I'd have to give a polyurethane clear coat myself, before putting on.)
That'd be cool to use an SQ-1 or Beatstep or whatever to make a rhythmic reverb. But it probably doesn't do any gating when it gets notes, so you'd need to do some kind of CC automation.
It does sound nice, but for that kind of money I kinda am not very impressed that impulse responses can't be loaded into it. I suppose it one of those bliss niche things where those who don't understand won't miss out on anything lol. That said, this does sound like a smooth reverb and if its analog, then the price would be a bit more justified but if this is a purely digital unit then its definitely much more difficult to defend its existence. Since exact specifications are missing from the main website for this, I can't easily tell like how long the trail is, analog vs digital or other specifics. Ima pass but will keep this reverb bookmarked for future reference. You play some amazing harp and this is a well useful video, I'm just critical of overpriced tech.
Really something different on Reverb,,,, this thing can really be a game changer and offers new ways to achieve a great Studio reverb without the Big Studio,! Would really go well in my home Studio and solve all the Reverb issues in one place! Thanks Emily and Russ , you guys are the Best 🌸🫂❤️🙏🤠
Ms Hopkins I very much wish to see you do a harp cover of 1+1=13 it has some sounds that I think might be very nice on harp and some very bitcrushed beats
Dayverb
AAHHHH
Fighter of the Nightverb
CHAMPION OF THE SUN ☀
Nightverb is just going for the "gasps."
The best part was when Morph Lady said "It's Morphin Time" and morphed all over those tracks
I like morth Trax

I’m hearing a SRR (Sample Rate Reduction) similar to the one on Elektron boxes.
@@tchu0001many bitcrushers lower the sample rate as well as the bitrate. but yeah, this is the classic downsampling effect
Came for cool harp stuff, stayed for Russ' hands.
Requesting mushroom-cap finger rings for OG producer vibes.
the best hands in the biz!!
Mighty Morphin Pedal Changers!
Holy cow!!! This might be the one. What a great layout, display, versatile ability and variable control 😊. Thanks for the video
Holy cow is that from 21 jump Street
Hey Emily Hopkins and Russ! 7 large barrels of thanks for the amazing music! Ride ride ride!
Good morning! What a beautiful pedal. Both sounding and looking. Thanks for the vid❤

Incredible harp playing in this video. ❤
@9:13 is magic indeed 🥹
Yeah, that's when I was like uh oh, I might actually need this one.
I love this! I'm really enjoying every sound you're getting out of it. I like that you can lean into the weirdness and get incredible results!
Best review I've seen of this, beautiful playing too
Such a lovely demo. Your playing + this reverb = amazing! Oh and I really like that frozen tuned reverb!
I really like the composition in the middle.
Exactly what I’m looking for. Sounds cool.

I have a video with the Mercury X coming in August so that might help you!
It does sound stunning.
I got one a week ago, and I love it!
Thank you, Harp Lady! Great pedal reviews.

Thanks Pedal Mommy! 🥺
very cool desktop reverb unit
Like standing the rain.
Wait, there is weirdness that can be morphed magically ! How is this not a breakfast cereal? Reverbeoo's 😊
Great demo, way more informative than Erica Synths teaser video
Id never noticed the blue harp before. Sounding amazing as always!
I immediately subscribed! Your explanations and demonstrations are so helpful!
I love the piece near the beginning of the video
beautiful!
You could just do an entire record with this and your harp - fantastic sounds. Another pedal for the "I need this" list.
Wow, this might one of the most unique reverb pedals that's come out in a while. I'm in!
Sounds really clear good sound
Really beautiful stuff
Really cool unit! I've been looking for a reverb. This looks perfect
hey, that does sound like glowing
ok, finally I hear something musical from bitcrushing
I want!!!!! but saving for a quad cortex.
So literally the exact same thing in every way, as the strymon night sky. Except no sequencer. Got it.
Now this one is cooooool
Ahhh the music. She took me there.
Enjoyed your music.
Nice Video ❤thx..

You should hold another vote for the channel name to be Emily Harpkins.

@@emilyharpist2 The more you play it, and touch the printing, the faster it scratches away.

i receive mine 1month ago. I give you an advice, use it in serial with a HOF2 it's totally crazy 🤩
I would be really interested in learning more about how these sorts of pedals are really designed/tested/refined.
OMG. WTF did I have to see this. I seriously cannot naw on my cheek for anymore gear lol.
The "glowing" part sounds a lot like sample rate reduction aliasing.
I really wanted him to turn the "Glow" knob all the way up.
sounds so close to Blackhole Eventide
That sounds so cool I like the night verb is that the pedal that you're giving away

yes it was
Oy! That's nae a pedal! Canceled!
PS: Sounds brilliant!
Is the hidden pedal the big black one behind you
0:18 I don't hear the difference between the 2...
In person would you say the "glowing texture" is like a shimmer reverb? Like Astronomer?
Honestly not really - mostly because shimmer reverbs use an octave up, while this doesn't have pitch shifting and is more of just a textural element!
it sounds like the higher frequencies of the reverb are being bitcrushed.
Geez. It’s gargantuan
GAS intensifying.😢
The Meris Mercury X covers this and so much more... Sorry, this is way too much money for what it is just like the rest of their pedals... Next...
Mercury X video coming today on this channel
