Urban Roots: Central Texas Gardener

Meet the teenagers who are growing more than organic food. Through Urban Roots, a program of Austin's YouthLaunch, they're growing their self-enrichment through hands-on work that serves the community.

Oh my god, the roots!! It changed big time!! I started working there last year and before that. 2012-2014 best experience ever!! I was an intern at first, then outreach and finished strong as an ACL (Assistant Crew Leader). I miss it sooooo much and cried when it was over (because Urban Roots became my family and I made tremendous bonds).
