This brings back so many memories of working on cars with my mates decades ago(drag cars, street machines and off road buggies), I really enjoy your videos, many thanks for your efforts.

I was going to say put in a tailshaft loop. I helped a friend built a few hot rods.

Patina sucks.A good car needs good paint.

Amen. These patina folks I think just are afraid of making the sacrifice required to put in the work needed for a nice paint job, then play it off like they like the look of a rig being rusted out.. rat rods same thing, they’d rather throw junk on their ride instead of getting the required parts to do the job right.. they ain’t fooling this guy.. put in the work, make the sacrifice and show these classics the respect they deserve. 💯

Might just be a financial issue tho homie. Most people don't have 10k to 15k for a full paint job. Sometimes they go for more. So yea... just cheaper to throw some clear on it

@@demarques1911 understood, that being said I’m sure you have either seen or done amazing things with some cheap single stage, it’s the time involved in the prep is what most folks don’t want to bother with.. I’ve seen beautiful jobs get done with simple Restolium from tractor supply… and if a guy just got a old hood and practiced, he could lay something very nice and acceptable no doubt. 💯
