Water boils at a higher temperature when you add salt as their boiling point increases. Not faster. Infact it takes longer time to reach boiling temperature when salt is added but subsequent heat absorption is faster than water without impurities
Actually despite Neanderthals being a different species , prehistoric man hybridised with them when they moved out of Africa so this means that if you come from out of Africa you most likely have a small percentage of Neanderthal DNA so technically we did partially descend from them but not all of us.
True and it seems those that most likely have Neanderthal DNA in them are more creative. I guess it's because Neanderthals had bigger brains than people today.
Salt does not make water boil faster, it stores heat so that when pasta is added it does not drop the water's temperature as much, in turn allowing the pasta to be cooked faster.

That salt in water thing is right. When salt is added, some surface area is also occupied by ions which was previously occupied solely by water molecules. So less vapours escape and hence create low vapour pressure as compared to pure water. And as you know, boiling point comes when external pressure is equal to vapour pressure. It will come up early in case of pure water. We have to increase the temperature for salt + water solution in order to form more vapours and achieve boiling point for solution.
