    ☕ Ingredients:
    Espresso: 30-40 grams
Milk: 150 grams (whole milk or your preferred alternative)
    Ice cubes: 100 grams
Protein powder: 1 scoop (30 grams, chocolate or vanilla flavor)
    ⚙ Tools:
    Lelit Bianca Espresso Machine
Lelit William Grinder (or any high-quality espresso grinder)
    Shaker (500-600 ml / 20 oz capacity)
    Steaming pitcher
    Serving container of choice
👇 Instructions (Play the video and follow along in real-time):
    1⃣ Prepare the Protein Mixture
Add Ice: Place 100 grams of ice cubes into the shaker.
Pour Milk: Add 150 grams of milk on top of the ice to cool it.
Add Protein Powder: Add 1 scoop (30 grams) of protein powder into the shaker.
Shake: Close the shaker lid and shake vigorously until the mixture is smooth and frothy.
    2⃣ Prepare for Steaming
Pour into Pitcher: Strain the mixture into a steaming pitcher, leaving the ice in the shaker.
    3⃣ Steam the Mixture
Light Aeration: Steam the protein-milk mixture to incorporate a small amount of air, stopping when the temperature reaches around 50°C (122°F). The goal is to create a light, frothy texture without overheating.
    4⃣ Extract the Espresso
Extract Directly: Extract 30-40 grams of espresso directly into the pitcher with the steamed protein-milk mixture.
    5⃣ Assemble Your Drink
Pour Back: Pour the final mixture from the pitcher back into the shaker with the remaining ice.
Serve & Enjoy: Close the shaker, and your Iced Protein Latte is ready to fuel your workout! Drink it straight from the shaker for convenience.
    6⃣ Clean Up
Rinse Tools: Rinse the shaker, pitcher, and espresso machine components thoroughly.

Nice workflow! I know it's a protein drink after all, but doesn't feel right putting it back to a plastic shaker. Also could show more about the 'iced' part. But still, I liked it, thanks!

Appreciate the feedback, thanks! I like taking this drink with me to the gym, so using a shaker is the most practical choice, it works for both mixing and serving and also reduces cleanup.
Regarding the temperature, if the shaker is dishwasher-safe, it’s usually rated for up to 60°C, while we’re pouring the drink at around 45-50°C. Plus, it cools down quickly with the ice inside, so it should be safe.
But if you're in the mood, you can transfer the ice from the shaker to a glass and pour the steamed drink over it to enjoy it in a more traditional way. I do that too when I’m doing a home workout.

do you have to froth the milk even though it’s a cold drink?

Frothing adds a bit of airy texture to the drink, so if you like that, you can definitely try it. Just be careful not to overheat the milk, aim for a lower temperature than a typical latte, around 45-50°C. Otherwise, using flat milk is also fine; it will give you a different texture and experience. Try both and see which one you prefer.
