    Very good to listen to! Thankyou.. i think the point that we should try to act as beings who are "holy" is very good point to make.. too many people treat others very badly just because of how they feel superior etc.. i hope we can find a way to live in a loving way with our neighbours and people in this world

    Nowhere else have I felt such joy. I've seen people in other religions who would appreciate your message from the first 10 minutes. Todah rabah, Rabbi!

    I have always embraced Hillel's rendering over the Levitical or Akiva's.
    In a sense it's more practical, easier for most to accomplish. He is professing to tolerance, patience--to essentially not be a jerk.
    Most balk at the injunction to "love" others with the scorn of impossibility: "Love that person?! Never!"
    At least Hillel leaves some room to be diplomatic, as it were.
    Oh well. Just a thought. Great shiur, Rav. Mahalo shalom!" 🤙✡️🇮🇱

    So is yeshua a comparable teacher to Moses and Avraham? Would it be okay to learn the teachings? From what I've learned, God bless yeshua with being quite a good exorcist.

    How about the following realization and practical insight into loving your fellow Jew - not through philosophical speculation and realizing that there is
    G-D in him, but through the following actions:
    - first realize that by simply learning the Talmud by heart, you will not be automatically transformed into a wonderful person by osmosis!
    - second, be aware that EVERY JEW can give you deep insight into the Torah - even if he doesn't follow or qualify, according to your criteria, or those of your teachers! IOW, refrain from asking the following questions when you engage your fellow in conversation:
    1 - WHO are you?
    2 - WHAT do you know?
    3 - WHAT RIGHT do you have to an opinion on this subject?
    Remember, the first thing BEFORE loving your fellow as yourself, is to - RESPECT him as you would want to be respected!

      People can have some amount of wisdom about the world without reading Torah but it's limited as long as they dont see the world through the proper lense

    • @jakobw135
      @jakobw135 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@adamjohns350 Every person, and certainly a Jew, has G- D and the entire Torah in his subconscious. That's what the little furrow between the bottom of your nose and the top of your mouth - represents. The Creator can choose to reveal, even the deepest parts of the Torah through this person, and therefore, you should take him seriously and listen to what he says.
      It's just polite and decent behavior. That's OBVIOUS!

  • @jakobw135
    @jakobw135 8 месяцев назад

    I don't understand rashes concern that you may hurt G-D with your actions and that's why you should refrain. How can you hurt the Creator?
    Rather isn't the better explanation - the fact that we have MORE in common what we DON'T like, rather than what we do?

    19:2 Be holy is followed by "ani yudkayvuvkay am holy"
    Love neighbor as thyself is also followed by ani ykvk.
    Christians in their lev 19:2 quote miss the "ani ykvk".
    They miss it because they don't have the "ykvk" .
    These verses must be based on
    " ani tetragramatton"
    In judaism the god of Abraham Yitzchak and Yaakov is in the moment near to mankind so he can and does
    finish the passuk in first person grammatically ( Chas Vshalom "person")
    In all other religions god is not available to finish the quote. Notice that a claim 'god' talks to a gentile is not even made/attempted in any other religion's story.
    As jews, to be light to nations we must complete these two beautiful passukim- to enlighten the nations .

    To a torah yid the lack of deep ahavat yisrael is already akin to sinnat chinom already.. Remaining in neutral being passive is like being in reverse gear .
    I believe I'll be a kid as students failed in this way. They didn't hate each other but on their madrega they could have done better with ahavat l' reicha kemocha. Another possibility is they went overboard They went too far with ahava. Kemocha not more than yourself.
    We would not mourn the loss of so many students if they were cruel/
    unkind.
