@@giudicedredd9195 Excuse me, but you can't even spell Tobruk correctly and try to pass as knowing on the subject? First Alamein was clearly a British victory. So was Malta (the air and seaborne campaign failed). The First siege of Tobruk failed (Rommel was forced to retreat and the garrison was relieved, remember?). And those were just a couple I cared to mention. Remember Operation Compass, where 36,000 Commonwealth soldiers beat 150,00 Italian soldiers?
@@VRichardsn The first battle of El Alamein was not a British victory. While in Tobruk the British were only able to resist, as it was then conquered. Then in Malta there was never an invasion by air or sea (who was that incompetent Rommel who didn’t want to conquer Malta). But there were only bombings by the Regia Aeronautica that brought Malta to its knees. Then the Decima Armata that was defeated during Operation Compas, was formed by Libyan conscripts poorly armed and poorly trained. The few Italians who were part of the Decima Armata were less than 20000 men. While the Desert Force was well armed and had more tanks, in addition to the support of the battleships Braham, Valiant and Warspite. And despite their numerical and armament inferiority they managed to resist. Just think of the Battle of Giarabub, where 1000 Italian soldiers were able to resist for months against an entire Australian division. And anyway 8000 Italian soldiers managed to conquer in a few days the well-defended British Somalia. But it’s useless to talk history with you. The Italian soldiers were much more able and brave than the German soldiers. In fact the victories during the African campaign were obtained by the Italians and the generals Messe and Bastico, and not from that overrated of Rommel. And while the Germans were fleeing from Africa the Italians were fighting to the end covering the escape of the Germans. Now delete your comment and go to study history
