For many of us with neurodivergent brains a done list is better than a to-do list. We often have trouble holding on to our accomplishments so logging them gives a way to reinforce the connections we want to make for ourselves
The entire act of planning and journaling for me achieves this purpose! I agree, it can be so hard for us neurospicy folks to remember our accomplishments (or even what I did yesterday, in my case).
What I’ve done with vertical weeklies is use them to track what I actually do then highlight them based on category, so when I look back I can visualize how my time is divided between the categories week to week. I do some veeeery light forward planning too, like I schedule in time for movement or household stuff, just to make sure I’m thinking about setting time aside for things that get overshadowed by work.
You've quickly become one of my favourite RUclipsrs. I watched your goal-setting video and it inspired me with my own goal-setting in my Sterling Ink Commonplanner and I could not thank you enough! Can't wait for more content in 2023!
Great video! I clicked on this thinking it was a commonplace notebook video. 😂 I'm going to have to pay more attention since this planner has come out!
Cayleeeeeee!!! This is so sweet of you to say. Two videos a week is a lot of work and I can't promise it will last forever BUT I will say there is a lot more to come this month ;) Thank you so much for watching and for this compliment ♥️♥️♥️
Hi Rachel! A new subscriber from South Korea :) found you while looking for common planner reviews and I fell in love with your channel! Gonna binge watch all your videos this weekend 😊
I have a Kinbor planner that is very, very similar to the Sterling Ink planner, but in an A5. I had never thought of drawing in the last two weeks of December, so after watching your video, I did that...thank you for the idea 😍
I am very happy that I found your channel a while ago - I like how you think outside of the box and I’ve already collected sooooo much inspiration for my 2023 setup 🤩 I especially like your distraction method, your approach to goal planning and and the idea of backward planning in the weeklies. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us 😊
I’ve set up my common planner but am only using the December monthly while finishing December up in my 2022 Cousin simultaneously. Love your video and how you are setting it up. Thank you for sharing! 😊
I like your social media tracker - consider using a dot for RUclips and a circle for Instagram. So if you posted on both on a certain day, you would have a dot with a circle around it. Just a thought!! Thanks for sharing!!
I got those from paper minty studio! Her shop is closed right now but will reopen in the new year. You can also find other variants on etsy if you search corner stickers!
hi rachelle! it would be awesome from the viewers standpoint, if you could begin uploading videos in a higher resolution (like 1080p) so we can see the details of your planners better!
Hi Laila! Thank you for the suggestion. I thought I was uploading in 1080! I'll look into it. This planner also has pretty light set print in general so I can do some close ups in the future when I'm doing common planner vids.
I’d never recommend doing this with real data that you’re going to present anywhere, but for your own records it’s totally fine. For your follower tracker, why not have two axes on the graph? i.e. have RUclips with a higher number on the left and IG with a lower number on the right. It’s a statistically dodgy, but visually ok way to see two sets of data on the same graph at the same time.
My FAV pen is the unibal jetstream 0.5. I also use the tombow fudenosuke pens and sakura pigma microns. This planner has the new Sanzen tomoe river paper. A while back on my channel I did a pen test with a free swatch of Sanzen tomoe river paper I got in my Hobonichi order; if you are curious about some other popular pens and how they perform on that, that may be something you want to watch!
@@RachelleinTheory Thank you for the suggestion!! I was using the frixion pens earlier this week, but the nib is so large and the grid is so tiiiiiny. It bugs me and now I have been using mechanical pencil... LOL. I also pressed really hard while erasing the frixion pens and it erased the other side of the page... 🤦🏻♀ I will go look for a uniball jetstream 0.5.
@@lil.ikuraa Omg yeah lots of people swear by the frixions but they are not my fav bc of those reasons. If you like a gel pen, the energel clenas are also a community fav. I like them too but prefer ballpoint.

YES I so agree

Haha doing that on a video last week is how I discovered what the Common Planner is too
Man i am so glad that you are uploading so often because I’m LOVING the way you do things. Each upload feels like Christmas again and again.

This is a good idea, thank you!!
Loved this set up and walk through!! Where is the dart paper clip from?
They're called book darts, I got mine off Jetpens!
Love your setup!
Where did you find the corner stickers in your dec monthly spread?
I got those from paper minty studio! Her shop is closed right now but will reopen in the new year. You can also find other variants on etsy if you search corner stickers!

starting a planner on January 1st is overrated. I wanna write things down in my new planner ASAP 😂
EXACTLY
I have not setup my goals or my common planner.

Erika this is a great idea! Thank you for the tip!
@@RachelleinTheory you’re welcome! Keen to see how it works out in a future video 😸
I know this is old BUT do you check your planner daily?
It's old but I'm still around ☺️ I do! Even if I don't write in it every day I still check it!
