it's definitely a refreshing change to your channel to do these Q&As. I look forward to your videos and honestly I understand it's a hobby for you, so go your own pace haha. ALSO you shouldn't sell yourself so short! we all come for the reviews but we are also interested in the guy behind them. If you make more vids like this then your followers definitely would appreciate the creater- follower interaction
I just wanna say, the thing I like about your figure reviews and such is the fact that you present everything in a very calm, friendly manner, it's like having a really nice friend show you his cool figures
If you review alternate colors, could you do the Wf killer queen? I know it's a long shot but that would be pretty cool!!! I love the Q&A's by the way, answers so many questions!!!!
This was a really cool video, thank you for making it :3 But today there was actually loads of pre owned Jojo figures on Amiami if anyone is interested. As of typing this, Purple Haze, Kars, and Okuyasu are there and some rare ones like blue Killer Queen, and other Winter festival figures. Needless to say those ones are expensive tho. oh btw when I said you've tempted me to buy ones I wasn't planing on, I just meant that it's really cool to see the quality of them and their articulation in a video :P Thank you for reviewing Jojo figures!
I think it's pretty cool how you started your collection by watching a review someone made, and I'm about to start my SAS collection because of your reviews. Thank you!
I love your videos man! Do you use the stands for your figures when you have them displayed? It sounded like you didn't in this video. If you don't use the stand, do you have a hard time keeping them up?
Cool cool you actually answered my questions and got my last name right lol since many people still mess up pronouning it despite it being a super common last name. Also I pretty much started around that time too but bulit up slowly like what got me into collecting wasI first saw the jojo figures and got part 3 Jotaro from ebay and came close on my birthday. Then later on got into other figures like NECA and I don't really collect any Marvel legends myself but I see alot of reviewers and people love them alot I prefer Dc Icons since they have a smilar feel to imports even size. Lastly, I agree on japanese figures being better in quality and having less QC issues then most but some do still suffer like Mafex figures. Also again keep up the reviews bro love watching them even the jojo figure reviews
Late response, but thanks for responding to my question, I honestly didn't expect it. I hear you on the space issues. If only I could be as disciplined as to refrain from ordering things I'll likely not have enough space for at the time, but if something interests me a lot, I generally can't control myself. The Tokyo Ghoul line has actually been kind of a bust, if that's a fair way of putting it. A lot of, imo, questionable design decisions that inhibit articulation unnecessary. I still like them, but they feel like Medicos skimped out on them quite a bit. Especially looking at something they "advertised" today: i.4cdn.org/toy/1478181880668.jpg which looks a lot more substantial and like it won't have problems just raising a leg, haha. Again, thanks. The rest of the Q&A video was, of course, also very interesting. I initially kept returning to your channel because good SAS reviews in English were rare, so you have helped out a lot and are helping out a lot by putting out more of those videos. Even when there's no more SAS for you to collect, I'll keep checking in because your videos in general are good.
(yo it's me toddynho) do you think they'll re-release Koichi and Okuyasu at some point? I'd love to get either but they seem really rare. on cripple Chariot, I am feeling inclined to getting him mainly because of the arrow and Coco Jumbo, but could't Medicos have made an SAS of Silver Chariot Requiem? SC only showed up for like 3 pages, while SCR has a cool design and an entire arc.
Actually is there any way of knowing which figures they will re-release or what figures they will make? Or do you just have to wait and see when they are up for pre-order? Like is there a website that tells you? It surprised me that Killer Queen got another re-release (has he been re-released twice?) I've only been collecting for a year so I really don't know much x)
I know I'm super late but it's best to follow the company if they have a social media. Usually they announce when they're making new figures or when they rerelease something.
the tokyo ghoul character you were talking about is named "suzuya" and i got his figure, i got alot of mixed feelings about it. unlike the jojo series from medicos, the neck has no joints, the head can not move what-so-ever. the legs are extremely limited because of sculpt aswell as the blue bands on the side pushes the legs down. the arms have issues with articulation aswell due to sculpt. the torso has basically nothing in terms of articulation. lucky the hands are great with articulation since it will be needed to hold onto the scythe, the scythe comes in 2 pieces to make it easier to get into poses. also the feet have amazing articulation due to nothing getting in the way of the foot. the paint job is pretty well done and there is a extremely good attention to detail on the paint. there is also a very good variety of accessories along with hands. sadly my figurine had a defect on the "crazy" face and it won't stick in properly.
I have Tsukiyama and have the same problems. The articulation is terrible and mine came with a slightly broken shoe. I also didn't like the paint job on mine, and I tried switching the heads at one point, omg never again I swear I almost broke him.
Charlotte Boyd yeah, the paint job on tsukiyama is extremely dull, a HUGE lack of shading. i think its funny that if you look closely at the mask alt head of tsukiyama, you CAN SEE THE KAKUGAN! why did they not make a alt head of just a kakugan with hair plates to insert. that way i get my kakugan tsukiyama plus my masked kakugan tsukiyama. i already have the kaneki figure pre-ordered, so we'll see how this one holds up... did i mention the base price is around $70, this pricing is outrageous for the quality you get.
Aha yeah I love that you can see his eye under the mask, but I agree it would have been cool to have the mask as a separate piece. Yes the prices are crazy! But I swear all the new SAS figures seem to be really expensive now -__- and SAS figures in general aren't that great, in my experience anyway. My Killer Queen had two right hands -_____- And I've heard other people say that either the paint isn't good or the legs fall of, or something. And there always seems to be a frozen joint. Sigh. It's not that I don't appreciate the work that goes into these tiny figures, it just would be cool if they could be a little more consistent with quality.
A response to your entire comment chain: Agh, don't remind me. I love Jojo, Parasyte and Tokyo Ghoul, and I got SAS Jojo stuff before the other two were even announced as lines, so with my positive experience with Medicos products, I was stoked to have figures made of essentially my favorite manga series (Tokyo Ghoul). Two releases later (Suzuya and Tsukiyama, with Kaneki on the way), and I'm highly disappointed. I expected more, and I feel they kinda just cheaped out, which is especially puzzling given the price tag on SAS figures lately. I mean, I still enjoy Suzuya and Tsukiyama, and they still visually look good, but especially from an engineering/articulation design standpoint, they're fairly shitty, which is made more heinous by the fact that their articulation did not HAVE to be. It's not that they had huge engineering hurdles to cross to make them better. No, all they had to do is use rubber/soft material pieces here and there to make sure it wouldn't impede articulation much. They did that with Shinichi, so I know they can do that. The Tokyo Ghoul figures are just so.. unnecessarily restricted and thus bad - a little extra work would have made them better and as such more appealing. I didn't think that would have been too much to ask for. That aside, I still love the line for the sheer fact that it's Tokyo Ghoul, and leg articulation aside, Kaneki looks to be fairly decent. I just wish they had done better. In the end, I think Kaneki marked the end of the line, so my conclusion is that the Tokyo Ghoul line as a whole was just a mix of unnecessarily restrictive and questionable design choices that could have been avoided and in some ways would have been easier to avoid than not.
Yeah man, I'd be down for a wheelchair polnareff review, but what I really can't wait for is that gyro figure they keep teasing us with!
i love the kronk pfp! :)
I am 4 years late😭
Same

there he is
AHHAHA I was in the anime club as well in uni and I was the art director, so I taught people how to draw :'D
I had no idea that amiami was a thing! I was able to pre-order Kira for a good price and I'm super excited! So thanks!
What are your opinions on JoJolion? Love your video's, inspired me to make my own SAS reviews.
