DJI FPV Drone - First Flight, Flips and Spins in Full Acro/Manual Mode

- This is a simple video with no fancy editing or narrative and the footage is relatively poor quality. I uploaded it to show anyone who is nervous about flying the DJI FPV drone in acro or full manual mode for the first time not to worry.
This is from a standard professional drone operator's perspective. I have been flying the DJI Phantom, Inspire 1, Air 2 and Mini 2 drones commercially for 6 years. I have been flying FPV for about 7 flights in two weeks so go easy : )
I was feeling sick as I prepared to try some flips for the first time but watching a friend do it first made it that much easier. I can't afford to smash up another drone just yet (last one was attacked and knocked out of the sky by killer pigeons ; )
I hope this either helps you in your decision to actually buy the DJI FPV drone (or not) or it helps you to gain the courage to flip that switch to full manual.
I actually found it easier to fly in FULL manual than I did in partial manual where you have restrictions on how much roll you could give it. Just make sure you have had a ton of practise in a simulator before trying this.
Niggles apart with regards to this drone, it has reignited in me that love of flying for fun whilst getting my heart racing. I think this will be the start of something new and amazing.
My other drones will mostly be reserved for commercial and stock work whilst this baby will be for fun and extreme stock and commercial work : )

Very cool this new "toy" from DJI. Sensational the video, I got tense here with every 360 of the drone. I imagine the feeling is great. Here I was used to the calmness of the Mini2 and I was very excited. Congrats !! First Like to You, and First comment.

Can it be done in safe mode? Like not acro that takes time to master for sure
You can't flip in safe mode. You need to be in full acro. I spent some time in safe manual mode and whilst you feel safer because you can't roll or flip yet, I actually found it easier to fly in full acro.

I have a question. I dont get a low battery warning like you did. With other DJI drones you do. I saw yours did. I cant find the setting to set it to RTH on low battery. Can someone help. Thanks
Not sure where I got a low battery warning in this video? Anyway, I have had a few occasions where the battery level reaches a certain point and it automatically starts returning home but I am not sure how to set that. Have tried but cannot see it anywhere. I think it is set by DJI with no way to adjust it right now.
Does it can do a wide slow flip?
Yes but you need to watch the loss in altitude. I'll be practising this soon 😉
