We lived in Nablus from 1939 to 1942. I remember as a young boy I was taken to a soap factory. the Shak'a factory. The soap was made then laid on a stone floor to solidify then cut into cubes and wrapped for sale. . Looking at this video today, very little has changed . It brought back memories. I was five years old but I remember it like it was yesterday. GOOD SOAP.

Why did they feel the need to translate the guy who was speaking good English?

This is my city which I am not allowed to visit because I am a Palestinian. I remember some relatives used the surplus olive oil to make their own soap (in exactly the same way but small scale) to save money. somebody told me it is over a thousand years old tradition

I have sensitive skin and this is the only kind of soap i can tolerate. Highly recommend it. If you order some make sure to store it in a cool dry place.

They've been making this soap in exactly the same way for thousands of years - they seem to have managed very well upto now. As for your priggish advice? Keep it to yourself
