Okay this is really unhealthy. What am I doing to myself? I've attached myself to these boys so much to the point where I don't even realize I'm crying until I blink and tears fall. My happiness is so dependant on these guys and One Direction that I lose sleep watching old videos and crying. The worst part? Nobody around me seems to like them like I do, which makes sense because I just adore them so much. Their stories and music and talent and personalities truly make me so happy, but I can't even tell if it's them or my overwhelming depression and desperation for some kind of outlet to make me not feel so numb inside. I've quit so many things and I'm slowly distancing myself from the world in fear that it's gonna kick my ass more than it already has, but there's this angry little voice telling me that this is what's good for me, that any social interaction will result in me embarrassing myself and everyone leaving me to be alone again, so might as well beat them to it, right? And I know it's unhealthy, but they're just so amazing. I'm mesmerized by the precision and beauty that Michael and Luke show while playing the guitar, knowing how hard and frustrating learning it is. I'm blown away by Calum's bass playing skills, seeing how fast he moves his hands and how easy he makes it look. It makes me so happy seeing how much Ashton genuinely enjoys playing the drums, how his excitement radiates throughout entire venues. And maybe it is just my desperation for an outlet, but goddammit, I love these guys so fucking much it hurts.

Just listened to 5SOS5, and I feel like a proud brother right now.
Edit: it's currently September, 2023. A week or two left until 5SOS5 turns 1. And honestly, there is no other album, song, era that could compare to this. The 5 Seconds of Summer Show going on, with the ONO performances from the Royal Albert Hall also being released as a live album. The collective effort of the boys made the 5SOS5 era the best of anything they've done before (and they've done some pretty amazing stuff). And I completely love it! It's unbelievable how much the band has evolved, and grown, reshaping their music in a way the listeners felt like they were growing with the band too. It's amazing. But, there is this tiny part of me (of everyone, I believe) that I know, will never grow old. And that part, lives and breathes to this very day, and hopefully many more to come, through this song. It's my own special way of saying, "can we just go back to 2011?".

I hate it when people say you're a fake fan just 'cause you're a Luke girl, it doesn't really matter, being a fan is knowing their albums, songs & when they came out. Plus, what's so bad about loving Luke? They have differences, but they love each other like brothers, liking one of the guys doesn't show how much of a fan you are ❤️

I agree with you. it's dumb to think of someone as a fake fan JUST because their favorite is luke. I know luke girls who are definitely real fans. but if they're favorite is luke and only like SLSP and think Michael is ugly and claim is Asian and 'who's Ashton?' I mean that definitely is. it's just another factor that ADDS TO the fake fan thing. but just because someone is a Luke girl, doesn't mean they are fake.

Savanna Smith Thank you for this, people say I'm a fake fan and I'm not part of the 5SOSFAM just cause I'm a Luke girl... and those people only know SLSP, Amnesia, and Don't Stop... while I've been a fan for a solid two and a half years. It doesn't matter what time you've joined the fandom, it really matters on how much you support and love the boys

Oh don't mind me bawling my eyes out, i'm just remembering the first time I watched this when it came out. I thought I would just be watching a random video and move on from it, but for some reason this was different, it pulled me in. I never thought that these four guys would mean so much to me. I remember wishing that they would get the recognition they deserved, and before I knew it, 8 years have passed. They've been through so much and have come so far, and i'm so happy and proud of them. These guys keep me afloat and words aren't enough to describe how thankful I am that I found these guys all those years ago. I just love them so much aghhhh :'))
