I feel like Toriel would of understand why the f--k Sans attack Frisk to begin with. Frisk (Player I mean but they don't know that) legit murdered Papyrus in cold blood, decapitation. Like Toriel should also take into consideration that the place is "Judgement Hall" which connects to the Throne. Meaning Sans kept his promise up to an extent, he kept it even after his brother was coldly murdered. We gotta remember that Sans only attacks on a Genocide route where your Lv reaches to 19 is where he actually attacks. This means that he can still keep the promise even after his brother died, but that doesn't mean he isn't gonna look at you with such pitch eyes.* S--t then again Undyne too. Undyne is known to gain outburst from seeing Sans hiding his power and finally showing it in Judgement hall, however that's the issue. She is the Captain of the Royal guard, a Judge has a higher ranking and is meant to Hide they power. They judge people for they actions and if they are too far from being consider good or neutral then they attack. They ain't meant to show they power or they role. Which Sans slot in perfectly because nobody was expecting him, on top of that he kept it a secret even to his brother.

In the genocide route when you kill her, she literally acknowledges that you should not be protected, and instead it was the monsters she should have. The only reason why she would act like this is if she didn’t have the full story, but in stuff like this, she at least sees the death of Papyrus so she would understand. Also is her age canonical? /gen I haven’t seen anything about it soo :> I feel like she’s been around since the surface and if that’s true, she would have killed humans in the war cause it’s impossible to stay a pacifist and she seems like a good queen to protect her people. As for the Royal Judge thing- that’s not exactly canon but like ignoring that hehe wouldn’t that mean Undyne doesn’t know? Like I would think only the king does (and if toriel did know the position before she left, it’s been ages she would have nearly forgotten that by then) so once again, they have missing information. Then ultimately destroys the world so that Frisk doesn’t get Curious again and tries out doing different things to cause different endings. ( considering how many timelines their are just by killing and not killing certain Boss Monsters. )
