just got back from bucharest a few days ago and i LOVED IT! they say "romania is poor country" but they have the most ordered luxury cars(ferrari, lamborghini bentley) in all of europe. the kids there have 500euro cell phones, there are beautiful buildings and shops with expensive furniture tiles granite everything ! beautiful people in that country as well! Long Live Romania. I will be back soon my friends :) greetings from Canada
Imi place mult prezentarea, ai putea face partea doua in care prezinti si despre cele mai inalte cladiri adica zgarie-norii. acest video arata partea plina a paharului in ceea ce priveste capitala Romaniei. bv ;)
toata romania este frumoasa ..trebuie doar sa vedeti nu tineti ochii inchisi si vedeti numai cladiri frumoase si strazi asfaltate nuin asta consta frumusetea ci in oamenii unei tari , natura , obiceiuri si traditii cele mai frumoase din lume si ce gastronomie avem sa moara altii de pofta :)
Frumoasa prezentarea...eu imi scriu licenta despre Bucuresti si am aflat multe lucruri interesante pe parcursul documentarii mele desi am trait in Bucuresti timp de 18 ani. Ce am observat totusi este ca la descrierea filmuletului ai scris in engleza dar in timpul lui ai vorbit in romana ceea ce poate crea putina confuzie. Diana (salutari din Birmingham, UK)
do you have any idea about these countries? India is full of monuments and culture, Pakistan has lots of historical cities, Zimbabwe has 2 extraordinary natural parks and so has Tanzania, Kenya and especially and search about the afghan temples in the north...even if these countries are poor or in war, they still keep a beautiful air about the past
i've travelled throughout central europe the past 2 years. bucurest, for the most part, looks like any soviet industrial city - nothing but dull, grey rectangular apartment blocks, as far as the eye can see. The people seemed very nice tho. But architecturally, comparing bucurest to prague, budapest, or vienna, is just like comparing a lada to a rolls royce
I know you posted this comment like a month ago, but... yes, Romanian is very similar to other latin-based languages. I am a Spanish speaker (I'm from Argentina) and I can tell you, Romanian is very similar to Spanish. Some words are almost identical.
George BASTA-an Albanian general, who first supported Mihai Viteazul(he unified Transylvania, Moldova&Wallachia=Romania,in 1600; Mihai Viteazul was supported by Austrian-Habsburg king Rudolf the Second), and after the Unification , Mihai=killed with a knife by BASTA(payed and supported by the two Hungarian cousins: Andrei&Sigismund BATHORY)
@MITKO1BG i'm not saying its not ok it's just they go home so early and they drink and start fights and dont know how to loosen up,i miss partying in bucharest and in romania in general, you should try and you will know what i mean
oh it was a 0 in in , SORRY. SOo I read Romania's GDP(PER CAPITA!!!) is 1000 Euro. What do you think an average romanian can afford to do of less then 300 euros income per month??? Don't forget, the majority's income is below 300 euro. They do not afford those cars. Anyway here more second-hand cars are sold then new ones.
@PAULOARMARNI99 Nightlife is AMAZING...look into it more...its crazy good, romanians know how to party,i live in UK for a few years...hate the nightlife,at 2 am people are leaving the club and go home wtf
Bucharest has nice buidings, old and new in a perfect harmony. Very tall buildings are not traditional in Europe nore in Bucharest. The reason is the ground is not so hard like it is in the US and can not support tall and heavy buildings. But in Bucharest besides old hystorical buildings you'll find new modern building who has even 30 levels
Romanians (at least the majority of them) are nationalists, they prefer to use their own language even if they know other languages. When I go to Romania, I try to speak in 4 languages, they answer in Romanian and expect from me to understand it. This is not a European mentality ... NOT YET! Hope all the best for the Romanian people in order to change this mentality as soon as possible!
I know Ukraine also has great places,(I visited it) Romania also has! so many great places! in all its regions! U are so close, yet instead of visiting it; U insult Romanians though they NEVER harmed nor insult U! maybe we should let U in your ignorance&be exploited by your British&Russian&Turkish "friends" U also have un-employment&corruption problems. Respect for TRUE Romanian&Ukrainian intellectuals&citizens! Romania+Ukraine=peace&economic prosperity! NEVER ennemies!
Since this would be mostly of interest to non-romanians would it not have been a thought to at least have english subtitiles? As it is you might as well have just posted the images with nice music rather than the romanian script read out
The hungarian language does not resemble to the latin. It's a linguistically worldwide accepted fact. The hungarian is an inflective language, and the latin is not. It's not that it's better or something. I's just different.
all long this video shows 2 or 3 significant buildings. that's all. it's a shame, that a CAPITAL IN EUROPE'S HEART can show off only with these. By the way the name Bucuresti is truly in hungarian. BUCU- refers to the cinch (baka in hungarian), and the RESTI refers to the verb ERESZTI(meaning let it loose, word still in use in hungarian). So since the place exists it got its name in hungarian. Who gave that name if not hungarians??? SO WHO WAS THERE FIRST???
Dani84sb&others..; maybe we should START APPRECIATING the job of our ancestors! Casa Poporului(Parliament Palace today)=done entirely by ROMANIAN HANDS!(why do U involve&see Ceausescu in each construction of those years?) In fact they should all be used-Casa Poporului, not as a Parliament institution but as a Huge National Memorial Museum, to get benefit for Romanian pp(it's called "People's House!) it's not Ceausescu who constructed the building, WE did! Proud of my ancestor's work&sacrifices!
If you measure the culture and wealth by Lanborghinis I do not doubt, that Bucharest is wealthy. The parliament, the most corrupt organ resides there. I am sure you did not visit Buc.'s poorest quarters where stray-dogs scare the people, and the insalubrity is menacing health.
in only few unsignificant towns from only two small counties the hungarian populations is majoritar. an yes the austro-hungarians and especially the germans did wonderful buildings in transylvania but transylvania still belongs to romanians. if you'd check its demography and its history before the second milenium before christ yo'd agree
Did someone compared Budapest with Bucharest? Are you nuts? Yes it is true that it is more beautiful then our town but I`m starting to think that all Hungarians are too frustrated when it comes to Romania...Wake up man! We are in the 21 century!
We don't have history? How can you say that? Our ancestors are the Romans themself. And your ancestors are the mongols. We always stood in defence, even if the attackers where the ottomans, or the Hungarian Empire. Remember the battle at Posada in 1330? I guess i don't have to remember you that Charles I Robert of Hungary lost the battle.
stop fighting&insulting, get to work(as I do)! Make Romania a true European country! Young generations need&deserve that at least! Start promoting true Romanian values(ancient&modern ones) ROMANIA=21 milion pp UNITED!!!(by one reason: TO SUCCEED in all domains!)
Since the year 2000 Romania's average sallary is 1000+ Euros per month...HAHA Where do you live? it's 300 euro...just inform yourself a bit more. You talk of GDP. That's 10.000 euro indeed, but totally a different thing.

Approved. Stay where you are. Nobody is regretting that, for sure.
Mr DURAY-Budapest has also inspired from other European cities, such as: London(ex: Parliament palace)

From the way I see things evry city in the world, has its good things and bad things. The qestion is, how many people see things my way?

@MITKO1BG in London why?
felicitari
I read it on wikipedia. maybe they're wrong...as in many things for sure.
@MITKO1BG i'm not saying its not ok it's just they go home so early and they drink and start fights and dont know how to loosen up,i miss partying in bucharest and in romania in general, you should try and you will know what i mean

noroc??:))) nici un noroc... doar oameni destepti care au stiut sa negocieze la semnarea tratatelor....
Atat a facut si Ceausescu bun.Palatul Poporului.
