Grizzly Ranch is very nice. There are a half a dozen other very nice golf courses within 30 minutes, too. You could spend a week playing golf at a different course each day and very happy with all of them. Definitely make a trip to Plumas County this spring or summer. You wont be disappointed!

New subscriber definitely you hit some great ones. I’ve played four of these and agree with you. I like how you chose from a list that were not the most popular courses in the state but those hidden gems that must be played! If there were a top 12-15 I would include in San Fran Presidio and in Monterey Del Monte. FYI Pasitempo is a gem and the Bayonet courses are u fee rated. They are spectacular.

Decent list- and good video. I haven’t played some of these and will definitely try them. Sorry- no way is Darkhorse #3. Play it all the time. It’s great, especially for the price. Doesn’t touch Winchester (now public) & it’s only a few miles away in Auburn. You missed Yoche Dehe @ Cash Creek. Also better than Darkhorse and it’s public.

You lost me at Rustic Canyon. No way that is a top 30 course in California. It's a descent public course for Los Angeles but quirky and with all that the course conditions weren't anything special. There are 20 public courses in Palm Springs area alone that are better than Rustic Canyon.
@@Gingerstashgolfnot in any particular order but Terra Lago, Indian Wells, Pga West, Silver Rock, Shadow Ridge, Classic Club, Eagle Falls, Pechanga, Oak Valley, Tukwet, Oak Quarry, Goose Creek, Angeles National, Pelican Hill, Sand Piper, Poppy Hills, Pasatiempo, Coyote Creek, and The Cossings in Carlsbad, There's 20+ courses that are better than Rustic Canyon and if you want to play in Los Angeles Rancho Park which hosted the LA Open before Riviera and Los Verdes are better options in my opinion. Los Verdes is built on the side of Palos Verdes hill so it's quirky like Rustic Canyon but it has amazing ocean views.
Rustic is consistently in the Top 15 of California public courses. Love the list, you didn’t put mainstays like Pebble or Torrey Pines and that’s what I like about it. 9/10 of the courses are affordable.

Grizzly ranch is absolutely beautiful, but the greens are dog shit for a course of that quality and the other issue is California will will eventually burn all that country down due to their lack of forestry management skills.

Yocha Dehe at cache creek casino should be in top 5. Only thing it’s in middle of nowhere unless you stay at casino. I think it’s around 125.00

Yeah sorry all the really great ones are in southern cal I’d take any suggestions as well
Of course, Northern California is infinitely better/more beautiful than Southern.
