So this is rather embarrassing, but I feel I have no choice but to address this. I needed to rerecord some footage for the second part of the review (which is coming soon!) and since this game doesn't have a stage select feature, the only way to replay bits is to go back and play the whole game again, which I did, and of course I was very much not looking forward to having to redo the dreaded troll chase, which I make a massive deal of towards the end of this video due to the fact that for some strange reason, Harry would often just not jump when he reached a pitfall, resulting in me dying again and again and again. So naturally I expected the same thing to happen this time, but for some reason it... didn't. Yeah, this time I made it through the chase with no problems whatsoever, not once did Harry just decide to throw himself into the pits of acid. Even when I tried to make him do it deliberately, he wouldn't. So yeah, I have no idea what happened the first time I recorded that bit, I don't know if it was a glitch or something, but I guess I now have my answer for why I can't remember this from when I was kid and why no one else online is talking about it. But yeah, no design flaw here it seems, just a weird random occurrence, but that doesn't mean the rage I felt during that moment and conveyed in the video wasn't very much real; believe me, it was, but apparently it was the result of a glitch and not bad game design, so I retract the criticisms I made in that section. Not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but I just felt I had to say something about it. I Hope you guys enjoy the video.
Thank you so much! Glad you like it! Yes, I'll add those to my list of games to take a look at. I was thinking about giving Monsters Inc a go anyway, so maybe we'll see that at some point! Thanks again.
I would really recommend the first three Harry Potter games on the PC, they're really fun and their graphics are wayy better. I grew up on the PC versions and seeing this, I think you'd also like them better too.
