it's good that you are covering all aspects of Washington and his life at Mount Vernon. it's important to get the information out there.

      No. They’re obsessed with it.

No, they're obsessed with slavery from the past. You know what we should be concerned about? Modern day slavery. You can still legally buy another person in some parts of the world. Many products we purchase regularly like technologies (phones, laptops ect), textiles, food, jewelry and so much more originate from that. I find it odd that people will say "we must learn from our past" when in fact slavery still exits today in larger numbers than at anytime in world history. There is NOT A PEEP out of anyone. It rarely makes the news, no one is out protesting in the street. No one is losing any sleep over it. No one thinks about it. It's all of us that have benefitted from it. Maybe society needs to take a good long look at what is happening today. Anyone that says that we need to learn from the past, please spare me. It's more about virtue signaling and a agenda. For the way we judge people from the past so shall the unborn generations be judging our time and they'll be raking us through the coals . Some of you need to stop thinking that our time is so enlightened, because we're not. That is referred to as presentism, where you think our current time is superior to anyone from the past.

I'm just interested specifically about George Washington the man. Or you could do something on the ghosts of Mt Vernon. That would be cool.

It seems as though you've covered slavery at my Vernon for quite some time. Was George Washington famous for anything else?

    Slavery is boring.
