Great video Saja I really like this explanation. This reminds me of a phrase called adolescent absolutes, which is either it is black or white. We know everything is being created out of the white, but we live in the black, so navigating between them is necessary even though we intellectually understand that everything is being created from all white. Also it is a lower octave of teaching to talk in absolutes, this is why you are so good. You give context and understanding to complex ideas that other teachers try to dumb down.
I appreciate your words brother, thank you 🙏 And yes that’s it. The mind always wants an absolute answer. Therefore it binds itself to that limitation. To be free from the mind is to be free from an absolute answer, unless the absolute answer that frees us is the fact there is only everything and we are that everything, even if the everything includes nothing. It is the understanding of that paradox.
Very well said. First we seem to overlook our formless nature. Then once we’ve experienced it consciously (had an awakening experience) we tend to throw away form. Hopefully we come full circle and recognize that form IS formlessness, and vice versa. I believe this is what Jesus meant when he said “I have overcome the world.” He realized that the world is an appearance of his own true nature. Everything is real, just not in the way we thought. To ignore or deny either form or formlessness only strengthens our sense of duality and separation.
The second time around it definitely clicked, I really find this helpful. We are all of it..the infinite expressing itself through the finite to have experience. One no better then the other or more desired bc they are one in the same. The way you deliver the teachings is so approachable, thank you for posting!!
Exactly Adriane! I would suggest also dropping the idea of a reason, “to have finite experience.” It’s not necessarily to have a finite experience, but more so because it is pure existence it can therefore can’t not be existence. Otherwise it’s like giving the sun a reason to shine “because it wants to light the earth” it doesn’t want to shine, it does that by nature of being itself. I know it sounds like a small pointless thing for me to point out but I assure you it will change the relationship you have with reality because you take away any reason or narrative for it. The subtle trap I fell into was that my mind wanted a subtle reason for it to be, it wanted to see it happen as if it was a linear story “once there was only consciousness, then there was a moment where consciousness created a world” - similar to how to imagined the Big Bang “once there was an empty nothing, then after that the Big Bang and the universe appears and now it’s been here for 14 billion years.” And it’s as though we try to give the same imagined process to this understanding. So what I’m suggesting is always remember we are only ever referring to what’s actually taking place right now, albeit dissected through words that describe it in a linear process in order to comprehend it. In other words, it’s like the Big Bang and all of creation and dissolution happens consistently now non stop like a burning flame now. coming and going after every thought or perception arises and comes to an end. There was never a time where there was yin and no yang. Maybe this wasn’t your idea but Just wanted to share this reminder because it reminded me of an important perspective 🙏🌅
Thank you for this response! At some point along the path I feel it’s the seemingly subtle understandings that create larger shifts. I very much appreciate you pointing out all of those subtleties. I think that iPad needs a tripod lol. 🙏💜
Don’t lose yourself on the relative path, don’t lose yourself on the spiritual path…… Or in other words. Don’t think yourself out of experiencing life, feel your way into it. ❤
Damn ! I have been guilty of this. When I experienced oneness 3 yrs ago. I spent most of my time trying to get back to that state of oneness. But like you said it's just perpetuating the duality again - trying to be in that state all the time. Not acknowledging the totality of the experience for the lack of better word. Awareness is never segregating but it's all accepting. When we crave one thing and reject another it's not acceptance, it's still a form of resistance. I will be more mindful of this. Such an important perspective shift. Thank you 😊😊
Consciousness is yin, and within consciousness we have yin and yang (open awareness and focused awareness). Ego is yang, and ego we have yin and yang (relaxed doing and focused doing). We are meant to do both, from a foundation of being. Ego gives dimension to consciousness, consciousness gives foundation to ego. Being gives foundation to doing, doing gives dimension to being. When both are integrated, we have harmony. This is peace. Most people, as you said, get stuck in thinking they need to be in a state of pure being and forget the doing. We are made in God's image. We are meant to create just as much as we are meant to relax. As above so below, as consciousness creates we are to create. It's beautiful that we can be participant in this world and also fall back to rest and relaxation when need be. Literally had this realization about how profound yin/yang is just 3 or 4 days ago. Crazy to see it come up in your video now haha.
I can't quite wrap my brain around the duality of this particular video. As usual you're gifting us with valuable insight, yet at the same time you're quietly flipping us off with your middle finger for a majority of the video. 😂
Super excellent explanation of something that is taught allot but only the half side of it, but also something that is never taught, the complete circle of it. We are both, not one or the other. Well put together. Definitely do more of those.
Fully agree 🙏🏻 Negation will only get you so far. I liked how you said we wake up to the little black dot in blissful experiences, hadn’t thought of it that way 👍🏻
Allan watts said some incredible things in such simple ways. I think I know the one you’re referring too I seen a while ago. I thinks he used the idea of sound and silence.
I'm coming around to this POV - it is everything. The mind is what likes to categorise and prefer one or the other, duality or nonduality, etc. etc. etc. But it is not two, just this. The entire circle for instance in that yin/yang symbol. It is neither and both. It is black AND white. So embracing paradox or being comfortable with it seems to occur.
Me watching the Entire video of your concentrated content as if I understood everything but after that feel I understood nothing… My experience is something like that drawing you are trying to hold in your hand.
The thing is, some people how they speak about this, including other non-duality teachers, they acknowledge this but in the next video they will be saying the same non-dual conditioned talk of there is no suffering, there is no "i" etc.
I know what you mean brother. It’s implicit in most teachings (not all) but the ones it’s implicit in they don’t express or bring proper significance too. I think it’s because it’s harder to introduce when a lot of people who speak to these teachers maybe haven’t had the “white side” awakening yet. However I do believe it should be the goal to arrive at this place with people. Most conversations in my community are around people getting stuck with this whole issue because of teachers being uncompromising in only one side.
At the true "end" of spiritual awakening you come back around full circle where you started with a higher understanding of yourself but also that you must fall asleep to it again because you cannot function without an ego. There's no such thing as ego dissolution. If you shatter the ego, another will rise up in its place, and a spiritual ego is even "worse" than the dual ego because you're denying who you became as you grew to be a human being. We are both human beings having a spiritual experience and a spiritual being having a human experience, but the one we're supposed to focus on is being the human being that realizes it's a spiritual being in order to be the best human being we can be while we're here.
You’re mistaking “ego” for a mind. An ego is simply a belief in separation. The belief in separation can be destroyed. So what you’re saying is we can’t destroy the mind. That’s true. We need a mind and that mind needs to identify with certain things. People believe we need to “stop identifying” with things, but I agree with you, that’s incorrect. We have to identify with things. But identifying with things doesn’t make us an ego. The ego is the belief that we fundamentally are that which we identify with. I agree with you completely, just make sure to upgrade your language because it can be extremely confusing to people to say it in the way you just did, which is what used to completely confuse me before. Apart from that I think what you’re saying is great 🙏
I think It’s implicit in the statement you’re referring too however I’m not sure the statement has the depth of intention or nuance - in as much as the yin yang symbol I use was indented to be interpreted in the same way I am using it. The statement you’re referring to - as far as I am aware of it - implies “I used to be an ignorant person roaming a real world, now I am an enlightened person who still roams around the world but now I know I am not created with the same limitations of the world.”
Who is going through a portal? The character that one thinks they are? The character does not realise the Truth of Being, but rather the Absolute re-members that it is NOT the character. A "spiritual experience" is had by whom? It happens as it does and then typically the mind takes credit for it. Spiritual Awakening (Embodiment) is not an experience of the character...🙏
You are saying freedom is accepting everything, every experience. Duality and non duality both??? I have never had an awakening experience but I have noticed a gradual dropping of damaging habits, mental clutter and the feeling of peace.
It’s because there are specific concessions made depending on the level someone is at. Could make sense to someone and no sense to someone else. We have to trust our intuition and gut to guide us to what resonates. If something doesn’t resonate we simply move on until something does.
It seems useless to be everything when thats not our experience. We experience being a separate, finite person, not being everything. I fail to to see any value in what you are saying. Are we supposed to pretend that we feel one with everything?
Then I suggest to ignore what I’m saying. If you don’t find value this isn’t for you at the moment. I would suggest to first recognise the absolute nature of yourself first. That’s the prerequisite for this. You have to disentangle yourself from the belief that you are separate finite person. I have a free community for this, it’s not so easy to help on comments 🙏
I am witnessing infinity attempting to teach itself about nonduality through the lens of duality via this video and my eyes & ears. Lol. Crazy
You have a funny sense of humour 😊
😂😂😂

Absolutely 🙏💚
Begin in peace with the paradox of the life and with the sentence "I don't know" the less we know more we know❤
God bless you from Spain!!❤

Loved this.
I think Alan Watts said something about the void of non-void.
Not clinging to the void, but seeing it present in life.
Allan watts said some incredible things in such simple ways. I think I know the one you’re referring too I seen a while ago. I thinks he used the idea of sound and silence.
I enjoy your perspective

@sajafendel with all due respect, my language is just fine for my current experience.
4:40 😂😂 love it
My fingers made gains
We are free of experience, and yet, we live in experience. In the world but not of the world. Same? Different?
I think It’s implicit in the statement you’re referring too however I’m not sure the statement has the depth of intention or nuance - in as much as the yin yang symbol I use was indented to be interpreted in the same way I am using it.

Yes 🙏💚
Ours is to do or die...not to reason why.
The fact that nobody talks about forbidden book called Hidden Laws Of The Game is so insane
I’ll check it out 🙏
How come the rest of humanity seems to get this apart from me . Why is spirituality always talked in riddles, is it because actually, it's not true ?
It’s because there are specific concessions made depending on the level someone is at. Could make sense to someone and no sense to someone else. We have to trust our intuition and gut to guide us to what resonates. If something doesn’t resonate we simply move on until something does.

Intellectual explaining and talking doesn't do it....have you had a direct experience?? If not silence would be the beginning and the end...
You’re a great teacher! 🤍
Thanks xx
Thank you Claire 🙏💚
