    That Killer Croc really was a failure. So many of them (including mine) lost their arms just from their very own weight or when trying to move them for the first time. I wonder why they never did an improved version with better joints. Such an outstanding sculpt, such bad production quality. Thank you so much for this quick tutorial.

    Glueing the pipe/rod into the ball joint on the srm is fine. My question is if you glue the pipe/rod in place on the body/shoulder side, how are you still able to rotate the arm with out the arm pulling out of the socket?

    • @toypanicxgamepanic
      @toypanicxgamepanic  6 месяцев назад

      It’s all depending on where or how you drilled or glued.

    • @keithf7351
      @keithf7351 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@toypanicxgamepanic as I attempted to drill into the shoulder socket, the remaining plastic rod fell in to the body cavity which I can't remove which left a large hole in the shoulder socket. To fill the hole so the pipe/rod could be glued, I created a pipe sleeve using a small drywall anchor then I glued the pipe/rod into the anchor. But glueing it into the sleeve would prevent the arm from rotating in a circular motion. If I attempt to rotate the arm, it'll eventually come out of the socket again. So as I stated in my previous comment, I'm not sure how to secure the arm in the socket and also allow for arm rotation.

    • @toypanicxgamepanic
      @toypanicxgamepanic  6 месяцев назад

      The rotating part is attached to the "peg" or joint on the arm. As long as the steel rod is firmly glued to the "peg" or joint (0:49), it can then be glued to the body or shoulder (1:00). If these two factors are secured, fixing the broken joints becomes easy. However, in cases where the joints are too small, repair may not be possible unless you have a very tiny (yet strong) steel rod. Additionally, if there is no strong "base" to serve as the foundation (like the body or shoulder in this video), attempting a repair would be futile.

      @@toypanicxgamepanic I'm legitimately curious here as well. I have tried this method myself with some success but not 100%. It LOOKS like you are using cyanoacrylate/superglue. and i have on occasion had some spillover that caused me trouble. (bad technique). If there's a different glue you are using I'd love to know.

    • @toypanicxgamepanic
      @toypanicxgamepanic  Год назад

      @@vtcoe1 the super glue used is the one that had the strength to even hold a broken piece of porcelain and glass. It's pretty cheap for us to get it here at our local hardware store (it's local chain called MR DIY). It's very cheap at only $0.50, comes with a small built in brush and best of all, it dries clear. Again, refrain from using glue for model kits/hobby...it doesn't have the strength to hold the brass pipe/joint.
