- On December 21, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman took to the floor of the Rajya Sabha and answered questions posed to her on inflation and joblessness by Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman took a sharp dig at AAP MP Raghav Chadha, who is a certified Chartered Accountant, and asked him to “revisit his numbers” before raising questions on the floor of the Upper House.

Nirmala sitaraman should go to the retail market and find out the prices of cooking oil, fruits, vegetables, medicines and essential commodities. Then she will understand what inflation is. Sitting in public's ac office will not work out.

FM smartly reported the debt of central government in percentage of GDP not in absolute numbers. As GDP increases, even if the debt is same in percentage terms it will come down.

Why are people providing loans. Government should provide free of charge education and food and water. They have different types of loans. Personal loan education loan industry loan etc why loans. What is the use. Spending is okay. Who can keep track of interest etc and that too exorbitant rates and personal delinquencies.
Udhar card is real lol. What happens to people after taking such loans, they get harassed by recovery agents if they are late or missing to pay EMI. People like Chowksi, Mallya, Bhadana, ABG shipyard. Just get their loans written off by the government and bank boards.

See inflation has been very well controlled by RBI and it is within 6%(CPI has been brought down to 5.88% and WPI to 5.85% as she quoted) govt is also trying to brought down it's fiscal deficit within 3%. We are lot better placed than Other world economies where inflation is in double digit. If you don't believe govt. Look World Bank's projected Nominal GDP growth which is revised to 6.3% which is fine compared to rest of others. The situation is very bad worldwide. FM and RBI governer somehow steered economy in such conditions. They worked well and deserve some consideration from us. Yes unemployment is all time high we can't deny that. But govt. Can't give everyone employment, it is impractical. Also subsidy issue is very apt. If all the taxpayer's money go into developing infrastructure instead of Giving freebies then Growth and Job opportunities will grow. For that Govt. Also budgeted high Capital expenditure previous year and Do even in upcoming budget also, to support growth. Adhaar has made our lives easy in many Ways. Same is the case with UPI. After some days you will see even digital rupee(retail) in the market. Govt. Is working but it just cand't do magic in a day.

First Raghav Chadda should understand that food and fuel comes under CPI not WPI. CPI is down at 5.88% within acceptable range of RBI, and lowest in the world, among major economies. WPI included commodities that industries use and are also imported. But even WPI has come down because of US Fed rate hikes. Raghav Chadda was misleading everyone!
