    Wikipedia States:
    BTS (Korean: 방탄소년단; RR: Bangtan Sonyeondan; lit. Bulletproof Boy Scouts), also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010. The band consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, who co-write or co-produce much of their material. Originally a hip hop group, they expanded their musical style to incorporate a wide range of genres, while their lyrics have focused on subjects including mental health, the troubles of school-age youth and coming of age, loss, the journey towards self-love, individualism, and the consequences of fame and recognition. Their discography and adjacent work has also referenced literature, philosophy and psychology, and includes an alternate universe storyline.
    BTS debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment with the single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. BTS released their first Korean and Japanese-language studio albums, Dark & Wild and Wake Up respectively, in 2014. The group's second Korean studio album, Wings (2016), was their first to sell one million copies in South Korea. By 2017, BTS had crossed into the global music market and led the Korean Wave into the United States, becoming the first Korean ensemble to receive a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for their single "Mic Drop", as well as the first act from South Korea to top the Billboard 200 with their studio album Love Yourself: Tear (2018). In 2020, BTS became one of the few groups since the Beatles (in 1966-1968) to chart four US number-one albums in less than two years, with Love Yourself: Answer (2018) becoming the first Korean album certified Platinum by the RIAA; in the same year, they also became the first all-South Korean act to reach number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Global 200 with their Grammy-nominated single "Dynamite". Follow-up releases "Savage Love", "Life Goes On", "Butter", and "Permission to Dance" made them the fastest act to earn four US number-one singles since Justin Timberlake in 2006.
    As of 2023, BTS is the best-selling artist in South Korean history according to the Circle Chart, having sold in excess of 40 million albums.[2] Their studio album Map of the Soul: 7 (2020) is the third best-selling album of all time in South Korea, as well as the first in the country to surpass both four and five million registered sales. They are the first non-English-speaking and Asian act to sell out concerts at Wembley Stadium and the Rose Bowl (Love Yourself World Tour, 2019), and were named the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry's (IFPI) Global Recording Artist of the Year for both 2020 and 2021. The group's accolades include multiple American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, and nominations for five Grammy Awards. Outside of music, they have addressed three sessions of the United Nations General Assembly and partnered with UNICEF in 2017 to establish the Love Myself anti-violence campaign. Featured on Time's international cover as "Next Generation Leaders" and dubbed the "Princes of Pop", BTS has also appeared on Time's lists of the 25 most influential people on the internet (2017-2019) and the 100 most influential people in the world (2019), and in 2018 became the youngest recipients of the South Korean Order of Cultural Merit for their contributions in spreading the Korean culture and language.
    On June 14, 2022, the group announced a scheduled pause in group activities to enable the members to complete their 18 months of mandatory South Korean military service, with a reunion planned for 2025.[3] Jin, the oldest member, enlisted on December 13, 2022, followed by J-Hope on April 18, 2023, and Suga on September 22, 2023.

    BTS rocked the Kpop industry. Fans from the Big 3 didn't take their rise of popularity too kindly, especially a group from a small company. They were relentless. But BTS and Army have been amazing.

    theres a updated one that has more context and more incidents i think you should 100% react to it sadly because she doesnt just pick up where she left off you would have to do the entire video unlike how you did for the rice squad video.
    the updated version is so much more detailed and explains a little better than this version.
    also want to make sure you understand the things covered are maybe 1% of what bts have been through theres even so much the public doesnt know. also many things are covered quickly to get through everything but many of these things are very traumatic especially as they were happening.

    BTS and their company actually had to go to court over ppl claiming they bought their own albums to cheat on the charts. that practice is illegal & is such a serious claim that the case had to be investigated. they won of course but i wish she’d have mentioned it bc it pissed me off even more when i found out. jungkook was still a minor in SK at the time

    The thing you have to keep in mind when watching these kinds of videos is that they aren't always the full story(the B-Free situation had more to it, and it actually makes ARMYs who know the full context even more angry .) and also, these isn't even half of what ARMYs know they went through. There's the stuff behind the camera that has gone on that they don't bring up too.
    It wasn't just the fandoms of other groups- though they did start a lot of issues. It also was people trying to use BTS, people wanting to scam ARMYs, and a few of the big companies who really tried to either own BTS(Yeah, Bang PD himself talked about getting calls from big agency's who told him his small company couldn't handle what BTS could be- This was just after debut. But he wasn't about to give up on his boys.)
    The red bullet tour in NY at the best buy arena was.... ugh.. I went to that show. And there were some fans who were straight up blaming BTS and BigHit for the show cutting short. When the reality is that it was because of the two idiot girls on social media saying they were there, and posting pics of their guns. It was a threat, and the target was RM. they insisted that RM was a problem, too ugly, and needed to leave the group... and the planet.
    So we didn't get an encore(not much of one anyway), and the Hi-touch even was canceled.
    The other one is more updated and does provide more context.
    I do think we as ARMYs should also bring up the reason why ARMY are sometimes against BTS working with some people- it comes from a fear of BTS being used. Now, seems unreasonable to some maybe, but unless you experienced or know of the one and only BTS tour that... was an absolute disaster- You won't get why it's sometimes reasonable for ARMYs cautious attitude.
    I think we need to talk about it more, and a year ago an ARMY did make a video on it, explaining it pretty well. (I almost bought into this tour, but my older sister caught some red flags and I listened her .)

    Still today many American celebrities and organizations have used BTS for clout (Jason DeRulo, Azealia Banks, Grammys, American interviewers and their companies, news agencies, comedians) while totally disrespecting them. It’s disgusting to see and is another reason why Army are very protective of BTS. These guys are so humble and have NEVER bashed another group or celebrity.

    I'm glad you guys are going to check out the longer version. It still barely scratches the surface of what the guys had to face but it works more like a good overview of the various types of attacks they receive. So you can simply assume that each type of attack happened many times from many people/groups/fanbases/companies over the course of the years. Many people think that it stopped now that they're mega-popular but it's still terrible. The latest version doesn't cover 2022 or 2023 so there are stuff missing on that front but you can make a decent guess what sort of stuff happened based on the vid.
    For example, just recently an employee from a S. Korean company was found to have been using his position to peak into RM's private personal information but after they "fired" the person, they were recently rehired and paid all of the money they would have made if they had kept working consistently. The reason is, in part, because another employee did the same thing and didn't lose their job but he did because RM is famous and ARMY were loud about how upset we were so he got penalized while the last person didn't.
    Then there was a podcast from the NY Times dragging Jungkook and BTS for being non-English speakers who sang in English "to top the charts". It was a mess from beginning to end and they invited a BTS anti on as their kpop expert to interview. The lady's Twitter showed clear negative bias against BTS and she was not shy about insulting and belittling them for doing better than her fave idols groups.
    Then there was the monk that RM tried to have a private conversation with who then went to the media and blabbled to them about what RM confided in him about. Luckily RM is a seasoned idol enough to have been careful with his words because the converation could have easily been blown out of proportion and made him look bad in the press if he'd dared spoke ill of wanting to do his service or anything.

    • @7Flowers1Dream
      @7Flowers1Dream 8 месяцев назад

      Damn. I knew about the podcast but not the other two incidents. I feel so bad for RM, being the leader and spokesperson he seems to weather a lot of ridiculous crap, and he’s a person who feels/thinks deeply. That pressure of constantly having to be careful about what you say and do, even “privately” because you have had that private space invaded in such ways cannot be easy.

    one thing that turns me off with a lot of the groups/artists (not just Korean but also Western) are not the artists themselves but their fandom. I always believe what fans tells a lot about the artists they love, especially if it's not just handful of the fandom but majority of it. The artists or their agency who knew the toxic behavior of their fans did but chose to say & do nothing says a lot about who they are.
    i'm not saying ARMY are all angels, there are some toxic ones too but I love the fact that everytime these toxic messages pop up there are more voices of ARMY to educate/correct & put them back to the right path straightaway than the ones support the messages.
    BTS, BigHit (or HYBE) have been setting example of how to be good person for ARMY

    They initially got hate in SK due I think to the overwhelming talent they displayed from the beginning. Rookie of the Year award in their first year. The big agencies and fans of established groups saw them as a threat helped along by the CEO of one of the big Entertainment companies. It felt like the media, government and fans just did what they were encouraged to do. BTS were just teens and adults were behaving this way towards them. I find it hard to accept that the SK Govt would allow such widespread bullying to go on - they were so young and full of dreams.

      Um...Rookie of the Year is often won during the first year. That's not impressive...

    • @michicks1323
      @michicks1323 7 месяцев назад

      @@EverRoxas You are of course entitled to your opinion. However I think that BTS winning the award against the entrants of the much bigger agencies, the money behind the other groups and the volume of entrants is a huge acheivement and shows what immense talent BTS has. But like I said thats my opinion. You obviously think differently and use a different yardstick. No probs.

    BTS's journey is a tapestry woven with perseverance, shared dreams, and unbreakable bonds. Each hardship they faced became a thread, stitching them closer together, creating a fabric of strength and unity. Their journey wasn't just about success; it was about overcoming challenges as a family. In the face of adversity, they found solidarity, and in moments of struggle, they discovered the true depth of their connection. Together, they've become a symbol of resilience, proving that hardships can be the foundation for unyielding strength. 💜 Miss them so much
