People don’t understand just how fragile a seemingly ‘too big to fail’ economy could be in certain circumstances. Even a small stock market drop similar to recent events leads to to economic downturn, which leads to banks not loaning people money, which leads to further economic downturn, and then people don’t buy things which leads to even more economic downturn.

the covid bubble is bursting. expect the ecomony to go down by 20% because 46%(m2 supply, conservative figure) of new dollars were printed during covid time, without much productivity. rest 26% could can be accounted to inflation. but you cant expect to increase inflation more than 30% without protest in a democratic country. so the stocks have to take a hit of atleast 20%. the market will be only stable if it is at max 10% of pre covid level. because the usa ecomony only grew at 2-3 percent for a couple of years(real productivity growth). and i am talking about usa. for example the huge hiring during covid time was just to show that the economy was growing.. and now they are firing, because it did not mean anything

The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.
