He's honestly got everything. I don't think people realise he's got some legit credentials too: represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in wrestling, national Greco-Roman champ, black belt in a martial art if I remember correctly too.
Throw in he's a genuine musician with insane creativity, along with everything else you've said: you couldn't create a wrestler with more positives on paper!
He has world champ written on him. It’s funny but not goofy or corny
Joe Hendry would do brilliantly in WWE, his creativity and entertainment value would make him go far

I appreciate Kurt’s honesty and transparency about why it went ten minutes and the strong effort he put in.
WWE probably would've wanted full ownership on whatever songs Hendry made if he did sign with them, which would be a very complicated matter in terms of authorship royalties/credits.
Absolutely. Especially since his songs are actually parodies of other songs, with customised lyrics. Pretty much what Weird Al is doing. I can't even begin to imagine what kind of legal nightmare you can get into as a corporation just trying to score the rights to some of these songs to be used as part of a wrestling promo.

Fair use is a very murky and loosely defined legal term and it often gets completely discarded in such cases.
Big corporations (like WWE) would probably want all the bases covered, leaving nothing to chance.
It’s more likely that wwe wouldn’t want to touch this gimmick because of the risk of copyright violations.
I mean, in IMPACT, he's basically been making the songs from scratch. It's not quite the same, but there are definitely ways to do it.

Funny thing is I only recently saw Hendry on NXT and TNA. Didn't even know he was a singer but told my brother he reminded me of Elias because of how his gimmick stood out. Guy should be a huge star and has unlimited potential.

@@UTubeRepossessions So now we have confirmation of where all of WCPW's money went. It was a pretty open secret, but hearing the real numbers is depressing, considering the amount of raw, local talent that promotion had. It was never the same after they sold and rebranded as Defiant.

Personally, Kurt Angle had every right to make as much money and not wrestle too long.
A) He can have great matches no matter the length
B) When you've done everything in the business and want to be strategic about your time in the ring towards the end of your career, why can't you?
