Where were they going to live? Finn wanted what was best for Rachel. He had to surrender all of his love for her because he knew in his heart that it wouldn’t work out in New York. Hearing the cast talk about this was interesting and showed how real it was. None of the other actors on the cast knew this scene happened until they watched it except Lea and Cory. They had to find out by watching the finale when it originally aired. Lea was sad/mad when she read it in the script originally and was like Finn would never do that to her! Lea said her face was swollen for like 2 days or something like that after filming this scene bc of all the crying during and after the scene. Such a perfect scene with the best acting performances of these two. Emotionally gut wrenching and so powerful bc of their real life feelings for each other.
