Diane Seegers: A Patient's Perspective on Fecal Transplant at Mayo Clinic

Diane Seegers had suffered for several years with recurrent bouts of diarrhea and generally feeling unwell. A recent hospitalization led her to seek treatment at Mayo Clinic for a debilitating and sometimes deadly infection of the colon called Clostridium difficile, or C. diff. Mayo specialists recommended an investigational treatment - fecal transplant - with the hopes of alleviating Diane's symptoms and improving her quality of life.
