@@UranusIsHere7 he should probably go back to being a dwarf planet, his orbit is being slowed down so much that he will eventually get too close to Neptune and get destroyed, besides Neptune will forget either way, if he leaves, Neptune will forget about triton, and if he gets torn apart by Neptune's gravity, he'll forget about that too, its probably what happened after Neptune captured triton, ejected his friend out into space along with some of Neptune's other moons, and destroyed the rest, he forgot about it all and was like "oh hey! where did you come from?" and triton was left possibly scarred.

Honestly, imagine an alternate scenario where triton heard what earth said , but also would be pretty pissed like titan , the moon , mars and etc , so it would decide to orbit mars to provoke the earth as well , because mars would have 3 moons , 2 asteroid ones ( Phobos and Deimos) and a major one , and to add the cherry on top , triton like Enceladus and Europa , can have life on it and has geological activity ( more specifically, on its under crust ocean ).
It is said that Triton was the reason why some of Neptune's innermost moons were destroyed when it got caught in Neptune's gravitational field millions of years ago... I wonder if that incident had any involvement with Neptune's weird personality like some form of trauma since Uranus mentions in 'The Adventures of Saturn and Uranus' how Neptune seemed to have lost his mind ever since he came back which means that Neptune was actually never like this before his mysterious disappearance for 4 billion years... If trauma made Neptune like this then I actually feel bad for him, though it might doesn't necessarily mean that Trition is evil. :'(

The reason Triton is now a moon is because triton used to have its own moon, but then Neptune Used its strong gravity captured titron. Then Neptune destroyed the moon of triton, so that's how Triton becomed a moon cuz of Neptune
