What's impressive is that this 7 year old is somehow already mature enough to realize that his mother is a human sinkhole and that cutting her off is the best way to keep her from dragging him down with her and accepted that reality to the point he's willing to nonchalantly burn that bridge without a second thought. That's a difficult thing for most kids of any age to come to terms with and this little mad lad is just so done with her crap that he's not even remotely distressed about it. As for custody of the kid, I wouldn't be surprised if after hearing about this mom's behavior here (which apparently wasn't uncommon for her), particularly where she took a shot at the kid. On the other hand, these situations are notorious for being skewed in the woman's favor, so who knows.
