Fantastic! Andrew, you inspire me..unfortunately, I will be buried at sea before I can afford this gorgeous boat. I have been a fan for years thanks to RUclips and although there are many great looking/performing sailboats out there, Jeanneau stole my heart. Congrats on your enjoyment of success. If ever you need a deck hand, I will avail myself (career US Navy sailor and now retired). Cheers!
This is my dream boat! For the "3 in California" that have one, lets become friends. For all the others, lets be friends too. If I can ever help on a long haul on the night shift, or help in any other way, please let me know. I'd love, Love, LOVE to sail on of these!
I’m curious to know how these can be offered at around half the price of an equivalent custom boat? I get the interior is not bespoke, seems a smart way to save costs, but there must be other compromises? Or perhaps it’s just outstanding value for money?
Great observation Peter, thanks for the question. When it comes to the 64, we like to use the term "engineered for choice." What we mean by this is, you the client, have lots of options when it comes to layout configurations and equipment options but the 64 is not a total custom boat. The big initial cost for the 64 was the design work for sure but and even more so the engineering of the boat and all the systems, and of course the moulds. Today, with more than 75 boats built, the production of the 64 rolls along pretty effortlessly which saves boat loads of time and inefficiencies, the result being as you say, the 64 being an outstanding value! Please contact out Annapolis office if we can be of further help (410-280-9400). Thanks!
Jeanneau 64 is amazing yacht. I Think if have telescopic keel abou 1.5 m if keel is up ,all Caribian and Florida by fuul jeanneau 64 coz every boby lovey stay in blue lagúns where is shalow wather and after back acros Atlantic or pacific.peaple love practicality 👍👍👍
Well, first of all thanks for your comment and thanks for watching. As you probably know, there are compromises in every design. In this case, if the boom is lower so must be the arch, dodger and bimini. Also, please keep in mind that the 64 is a cruising boat so we need to accommodate a wide range of personal needs and desires. All the best and thanks again!
This or a ct is my personal opinion of a beautiful family boat I'd love to own or even borrow on for a few years lol maybe one day I'll even win lottery or someone will take pity for me and lend me their own boat for a while as if but dreams are cheap boats arnt
So, I don’t want to burst anyone’s bubble, but there is the scuttle that Beneteau and Jeanneau are cheaply made boats not suited to blue water sailing. Anyone care to refute that claim?
They are cheaper because they make so much boats they can get a way better prices on parts and materials and the production process is fully streamlined. Jeanneau has prove time over time to be ocean worthy , hundreds are crossing oceans every day .
Mr. Winch thank you very , very much for a nice interview and inside on the philosophy on creating the 64!!! Thank you Sir!

very nice person
I’m clearly quite fabulous actually!
How is max top speed?
Google search how to calculate hull speed. It’s simple math.
the yacht is excellent but the boom is mounted too high and aesthetically makes the boat less attractive

The problem with the 64 is the overly deep draft. Leaves out the Bahamas.

Look at Patrick Laine's You tube channel - Bavaria - Iceland trips etc etc..
Conor Ronan what boat does he sail
